Educational Easter Basket Ideas
With so many sugary treats on Easter day, create an educational Easter basket full of games and play opportunities to encourage time together instead of gifting more candy. Our Educational Easter Basket Ideas include some of our favorite family games and play activities.
Include fun and educational books like National Geographic Kids 125 Pet Rescues. Our oldest daughter is nine years old and will read anything featuring animals! The bunny rescue stories in the book are a perfect addition to your Easter basket!
Encourage family time together with family games.
The Doodle a Droodle drawing game is a drawing game with riddles for kids. Droodles are silly nonsense sketches where players have to guess the drawing. The game includes a magnetic board, doodle prompt cards and dry erase marker.
Utter Nonsense! Family Edition is a family game where players have fun saying nonsense phrases in silly accents. Pull a phrase card and accent card then talk in your best accents for family fun. “When I grow up I want to be a lifestyle blogger,” said in your best vampire accent – you know you just whispered it to yourself!
With two daughters, Shopkins are very loved in our home. Our youngest daughter is almost three and loves sneaking into her sister’s room to “borrow” her favorite toys. Our new games have been a fun way for both our daughters to play together. The Shopkins Moving Day board game, Shopkins World Vacation game and Shopkins Postcard Pals card game have been great for both our daughters.
Jumping Jack is our almost three year old daughter’s current favorite. Pull a carrot and be ready for the rabbit to jump out!
Catch the Fox is another great game young players will love. France’s 2016 toy of the year has an innovative mechanism for exciting gameplay. The fox’s pants disappear and chickens fly out of his pockets if he runs on your turn.
Augmented Reality Games and Creativity
Screen time is a significant part of our children’s learning experiences. Make it fun by adding these educational digital games and creativity products to your Easter basket.
ZIPIT Interactive coloring and activity books include pages of animated stickers that virtually come to life when viewed through your device on the ZIPIT creativity app.
A Get Qurious maker box is an award winning set of AR Educational toys and Learning games that sparks children’s curiosity, imagination, and discovery as they create stories, assemble puzzles, role-play, or engage in other age-appropriate games and activities that encourage STEM / STEAM / STREAM learning. We received the The Three Little Pigs themed box and both my daughters have enjoyed playing with it together.
Our educational Easter basket ideas are great ways to encourage family time together without all the added sugar!
