Garden Snail Lunch {Bumble Bee Tuna and cheddar tortilla roll up}

From the time my daughter was a baby she has been a very picky eater.  She is usually willing to try new things but rarely ever requests anything other than peanut butter sandwiches or tuna for lunch.  I recently shared quick tips for a beach day and showed you some of our favorite food items to bring along, including Bumble Bee Tuna Salad with Crackers.  In addition to the prepackaged meals when we are on the go, we eat a lot of other Bumble Bee food Read More... {Read More...}

Quick Green Eggs and Ham Sugar Cookies

Today I'm bringing six dozen Dr. Seuss themed cookies to share with the school where I work.  I have seen so many amazing and ridiculously cute versions of these cookies.  I didn't have hours to spend in the kitchen this morning so I put together a really quick version. All you need is cookies and frosting to create these yummy treats. With more time I probably would have made my own cookie dough.  This morning I used ready to bake. The cookies had my kitchen smelling Read More... {Read More...}

Healthy and Quick Meals with Kidfresh

I knew this week was going to be busy at our house. With the holidays here I have a growing to do list in my office. Following a healthy meal plan is always intended but I dread cooking on the busiest days. We were not hosting Thanksgiving in our home this year so luckily I didn't have to plan an entire meal. But not having Thanksgiving at home also means not having yummy leftovers to end a busy week. Thanks to Kidfresh, instead of turning to fast food for my daughter, we had healthy and quick Read More... {Read More...}

Preschool Halloween Snack – Candy Corn Pizza

Earlier this week I shared the Frankenstein Jello Cups my daughter shared with her preschool class.  In addition to the jello cups we also brought Candy Corn Pizza.  The slices were extra small for little hands.  I'm tempted to call them "Candy Corn Pizza Bites". I've seen this Halloween themed pizza everywhere online recently but I wanted to try and make a smaller version. Letter A Themed Snacks

This week my daughter's preschool class is learning about the letter A.  It was our turn to bring in snacks so I put together a few items that would correspond with the week.I made the A shaped cheese pieces from a block of cheese.  Slice the cheese block into 1/2" pieces and then use a small metal cookie cutter to cut out the letter.  I have a set of Fox Run alphabet cookie cutters that worked great. The cheese gets stuck in the cookie cutter so be careful when you remove the shape.  I used the Read More... {Read More...}

Crabby Snack Sandwiches

I sent snacks with my daughter to preschool again yesterday.  This week her class is learning about crustaceans so I thought it would be fun to make a crab shaped snack.  My daughter was so excited to share crabby snack sandwiches with her classmates!  Our crab shaped cookie cutter is from Wilton's 50 piece animal pals cutter set.  The cookie cutter is plastic and would not cut through an entire sandwich so I cut each piece individually - two slices of bread, cheese, and turkey.I used Read More... {Read More...}
