Things to do in Arizona during holiday break

With my daughter home from school for the next couple of weeks during her holiday break, we have a few fun family days planned. We aren’t traveling during the holidays and being pregnant I really just wanted to stay close to home. We have a full lineup of things to do in Arizona during holiday break.

Disney’s Into the Woods opened in theaters Christmas Day and is a fun PG rated family film. The talented cast including Maryl Streep and Emily Blunt will have your family singing all through holiday break. The film leaves you feeling like you just stepped out of a Broadway show instead of a movie theater. My family was invited to see the film before it was released in theaters. My six year old daughter enjoyed the music and seeing the characters from her favorite classic fairy tales.

“Into the Woods” is a modern twist on several of the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone), and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy), all tied together by an original story involving a Baker and his Wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt), their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the Witch (Meryl Streep), who has put a curse on them.

All the amazing musical and acting talent made it hard to choose a favorite but I loved seeing Chris Pine as The Prince. He’s definitely charming!
