It’s no secret we are a little obsessed with polar bears. My daughter, the SeaWorld Guest Kid Blogger, loves sharing what she has learned about conservation and how we can all make a difference for polar bears in their natural environment. With International Polar Bear Day quickly approaching, the new Norm of the North movie is opening in theaters at a perfect time. We are celebrating the movie release with these fun polar bear cookies! The new film is in theaters January 15th but we have a fun giveaway for Arizona friends to attend a screening in Tempe with their family Saturday, January 9th. We can’t wait to see this film starring Norm the polar bear!
Polar Bear Cookies
- your favorite frosted soft sugar cookies (you can make your own but ours were purchased at our local grocery bakery)
- peppermint patties and mini peppermint patties
- white frosting
- frosting bag and decorating tip (Wilton 233 makes excellent polar bear fur!)
Frost your cookies with the decorating tip to create a fur look with white frosting.
Decorate with the peppermint patties to make a paw on the top of the cookies.
Add a “Polar Beartastic New Year” wish to a plate of cookies and share with your neighbors! Simply download the 5″ x 7″ image and print from your home computer.
Norm of the North is the story of a polar bear visiting New York on a mission: to tell people to stop going to the Arctic so he can be more comfortable with his animal friends.
We can’t wait to see this funny movie with a message about respecting animals in their natural environment.
We are giving away four sets of family four pack tickets to the movie screening January 9th 10am at the Tempe Marketplace Harkins so you can see it before it opens in theaters too!
Who will you bring with you to the special Norm of the North advanced screening if you win tickets?
