Around the world steeping tea is a time to stop and reflect each day. I’m always running from one place to the next and rarely set aside intentional time to slow down. Receiving a tea infuser cup with a can of loose leaf tea gave me the perfect reason to sit down and remember my favorite moments while steeping Oprah Chai Tea at home. Oprah has teamed up with Teavana and Starbucks to help you create great moments for Mother’s Day. My mom is my biggest fan and most favorite friend. This Mother’s Day I’m celebrating my mom by sharing a moment over tea.

In addition to an Oprah Chai Tea Latte and other beverages, you can also purchase a small gift box and loose leaf tea to steep at home. The gift box includes loose leaf tea and a mug with metal strainer making a wonderful Mother’s Day gift for your favorite friend, mom, or even yourself.
Being brand new to loose leaf tea, I was excited to make my very first cup at home with my gift set.
The tea is a flavorful chai combination with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves, blended with black tea and rooibos. The smooth blend was the perfect way to start a new tea steeping ritual in my home.
The metal strainer made steeping the tea directly in the cup easy. With such a great aroma, I looked forward to tasting the sweet chai at home. While it only took a few minutes to make, I stopped working in my home office and thought of my mom. She is the most giving person and never thinks of herself first. Becoming a mother myself and following the footsteps of my great role model, my daughter always comes first but being a mom doesn’t mean we have to stop taking time to enjoy moments for ourselves. Even if it’s only a few minutes to steep tea in the morning, those moments of reflection are important. Like my mom is to me, I want to be an inspiring role model for my daughter too. Teaching her to take time for herself is important.
I’m so lucky to have such an inspiring role model in my life. My mom is my most supportive friend and tells me everyday how proud I make her. Each morning when I stop to take time for myself, I remember my mom as the reason I am confident and motivated to always be my best.
