For our wedding gift, my husband and I picked out perfume and cologne for each other. My maid of honor and his best man delivered the gifts to us on our wedding day. We each wore the scent we had received and it created a great memory. We’ve replaced the bottles a few times and still claim them to be our favorites because the scent combination takes us back to our wedding day. Having one favorite perfume for special occasions is simply not enough. Perfume is pricey and it’s not something I buy for myself. It’s definitely one of my favorite and best gifts when received from others but I normally can’t justify spending so much on perfume for myself. This week I treated myself to something sweet and bought perfume.
I was shopping at Walmart and walked down the perfume and cologne aisle, something I’ve done hundreds of times before but never really paid any attention to. I noticed the bottle of perfume I wore on my wedding day. I started looking and saw that the cologne my husband wore at our wedding was on the shelf too. Then I noticed the prices were significantly less than what I have seen in department stores. Walmart has an amazing selection of perfume and cologne at great prices.
Most of the colognes and perfumes had stickers on the front of the packaging to scratch and smell. I smelled a few different scents and then fell in love with Wonderstruck Enchanted by Taylor Swift. The perfume is a blend of wild berries and flowers with a hint of vanilla. It’s the perfect soft girly scent. At less than $30, I decided to treat myself to the perfume.
I’d like to think I have quite a bit in common with Taylor Swift. We both….awww nevermind, I just think she’s absolutely gorgeous and love her music. Her photo on the box is breathtaking.
The perfume is perfect for everyday wear but is also my new favorite for a night out. I need to plan a date night to wear a pretty dress, sparkly shoes, and my new perfume.
I’m a frugal mommy and I rarely ever spend on myself with out a good bargain. The perfume selection at Walmart just might have me treating myself more often.
