Spontaneous Travel Packing Tips

We travel often and although we have our vacation calendar planned throughout the year, we add spontaneous trips frequently. They might be just a day getaway or sometimes we travel spontaneously for long weekends. My husband and I both previously traveled for work and because of those experiences, are comfortable going without much prep time. My spontaneous travel packing tips include all the little things I toss in an overnight bag for fun away from home. We’re talking all the things you might otherwise leave behind like MiraLAX® Mix-In Pax® from Walmart.

We’ve had more than one Saturday morning where we woke up, confirmed there were no plans on the family calendar, and decided to drive to southern California that same day. It’s just a short six hour road trip and to many of our favorite weekend destinations. Regardless of the season, it seems there is always something on our event wishlist and for me, it usually incorporates food. Food festivals are a favorite and it’s an extra bonus when our spontaneous travel plans align during a visit.

Our favorite spontaneous travel usually lands us in Southern California.

Trying new restaurants and stepping outside of our comfort zones also happens most when away from home.

We try new restaurants often during our spontaneous travel getaways.

Our most frequent family road trip is to Carlsbad, California. We’ve been visiting the beach town for many years and have a short list of activities there in addition to time on our favorite beach like picking strawberries, dinner on the neighboring pier, walking to get ice cream or getting fish and chips takeout to watch the sunset over the ocean.

Picking strawberries in Carlsbad is one of our most favorite things to do on spontaneous travel weekends away from home.

Spontaneous travel also means our meal routine is obviously shaken up too. With that comes some unexpected discomforts and staying inside with a tummy ache is not how we want to spend our time away from home. I always bring along MiraLAX® because it works with your body’s natural process to provide effective relief from occasional constipation. MiraLAX® works with the water in your body providing a gentle experience, and doesn’t cause harsh side effects.

MiraLAX always ends up in our spontaneous travel bags because it helps with uneasy tummies.

My spontaneous travel packing tips do not include the obvious like bringing clothes or other essentials but it does share all those little things you often forget while rushing out the door.

Spontaneous Travel Packing Tips

Swimsuit

It doesn’t matter the season or outside temperature, pack a swimsuit for everyone in the family. You never know when you’ll end up staying somewhere with an unexpected pool or neighboring indoor water resort.

Reusable Water Bottle

If there’s one thing I want in my bag, it’s a reusable bottle. Bring it through airport security lines empty and then use it on your entire trip away from home!

We always bring reusable water bottles for the family when we are traveling.

Sandals and athletic shoes

When you’re speeding through packing for a quick trip you might not throw in an extra pair of shoes. But you should. We always bring flip flops and tennis shoes everytime we are away from home because spontaneous weekends away call for the unknown adventures.

MiraLAX®

Your diet likely will be different than at home so bring along MiraLAX®,  a safe and effective brand you can trust for relief of occasional constipation.

MiraLAX is easy to bring along on your spontaneous travel weekend getaways!

MiraLAX® is not a stimulant laxative and works differently. Stimulant laxative pills make your body go by forcefully stimulating the nerves in your colon. MiraLAX® works with the water in your body to hydrate, soften, and ease, unblocking your system naturally.

Purchase MiraLAX® at Walmart with this coupon during your last stop before your all packed for spontaneous travel.
