Fall is a favorite time of year with great weather and many outdoor festivals. It’s also time for some of our favorite events including SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular®. We have been attending the Halloween Spooktacular in San Diego for many years and love seeing the additions to the event each year. It’s also a great reason to create DIY marine animal costumes!
SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular is every weekend through October. The fun is a great reason to attend but it’s also a perfect time to visit because SeaWorld is participating in the Kids Free San Diego 2016 for the entire month of October!
The event includes photo opportunities, holiday shows, a festive Halloween menu and more.
This year the Dia de los Muertos celebration is new to the Halloween Spooktacular.
Both my daughters dressed up as flamingoes for the Halloween Spooktacular. My daughter, the SeaWorld guest kid blogger, shared her easy DIY flamingo costume tutorial on the SeaWorld blog soon!
Trick or treating is a favorite activity during the event with many treat stations throughout the park. Last year my daughter made herself a DIY octopus costume and had tons of fun filling her treat bag with candy and healthy treats.
Because we’ve been coming to SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular for years, we have quite the collection of DIY marine animal costumes. Over the past few years my daughter has created her own costumes with just a little help from me.
