disclosurePart of the fun in preparing for a conference is putting your carefully planned outfits together. Going to SoFabCon, the Collective Bias Social Fabric conference, was no different.  I was ridiculously excited when I was invited to sit at the searsStyle table during our family style dinner Friday night.  Along with the opportunity to speak with representatives, I also was able to go shopping for clothes.  Yay!

I spent several hours at Sears shopping for Friday’s daytime outfit and dinner ensemble.  I was instantly drawn to the color in the Kardashian Kollection pieces.  I also really liked the great fit and style of the Metaphor options.

I quickly fell in love with True Freedom Junior’s Colored Twill Jeggins in Red Rouge.  They fit perfectly and I really liked the color.  I also picked up a White Metaphor Twill Women’s Blazer.  I knew my Friday daytime outfit would incorporate both pieces.  I normally don’t wear dresses but I tried on a few different options from the Kardashian Kollection.  I loved the Confetti Print Wrap Dress but didn’t really like the length on me.  The dress was a little short on me for a conference so I paired it with the jeggings.  Cute pairing but it didn’t quite feel right with the blazer.  I went back to the Metaphor brand and found the perfect top.

Sara of Clever Pink Pirate and I were shopping at different Sears at the same time.  We were sharing our finds and asking for suggestions by text.  We had so much fun giving each other style advice based on pictures and the selection in each store.

Do you like what I chose?  Sara and I had so much fun during the day wearing our searsStyle fashion finds and received plenty of style compliments.

For the evening my outfit was very similar but a completely different color scheme.  I wore a different Metaphor top and blazer paired with Kardashian Kollection Women’s Multi-color Twill Skinny Pants.  The pants were the same print as one of the dresses I had tried on in the store.

The other girls sitting at the searsStyle table had great style too!  I really enjoyed seeing all of our different personal styles and how we were able to express ourselves individually.

Later in the evening, Sara and I posed for some fun pictures at the photo booth.  We were surprised when John Andrews, Collective Bias CEO, jumped in our photo for an awkward stretch.

Everything was purchased using my ShopYourWay Rewards card.  With the already reduced prices and the additional discount from my rewards card, I walked away with two perfect outfits with great savings!

Discloure: I received a gift card from searsStyle to purchase clothing for the conference but all opinions are my own.

  1. Heather, this blog reads really well. I love the photos of you, and how you combined the aqua background top, which had a red flower print, with the red jeggings. It’s an unexpected combo, aqua and red, but the red flowers on the top make it work really well.
I too like what I have seen the Metaphor line, and plan to pick up some pieces at our Sears at the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville. Thanks for the style ideas!
