Party in a Jar book, recycle jars into fun kids crafts

May 17, 2014 By: Heather2 Comments

My love for kids crafts has me frequently browsing online looking for new classroom craft ideas. My daughter and I make projects together at home daily and we are always surrounded in a fun mess of paint, glitter, and other crafting supplies. The value of teaching to express their creativity goes far beyond simply making something pretty. My friend Vanessa Rodriguez Coppola from See Vanessa Craft has a background in clinicial social work and is passionate about the therapeutic value in children expressing their creativity. She just released her first book, Party in a Jar, and I’m thrilled to be part of her online book tour. She developed a great collection of kids crafts using jars. Through her step by step tutorials you can easily faciliate a playdate, organize a classroom craft, or simply spend some time crafting at home with your children. Party in a Jar is your guide to recycling jars and bottles into fun kids crafts.

The Party in a Jar book is full of kids crafts for the entire year. From holiday crafts to dinosaurs and princesses, Vanessa covered a wide range of projects.

I attended the Party in a Jar book release party and enjoyed celebrating with friends. We were treated to yummy desserts while completing a project from the book.

The Space Nightlight Jar project from the book took just a few minutes to make and dried by the time I left the party. The pretty jar with battery operated flame is my daughter’s new favorite nightlight.

With so many inspiring projects, I will be spending our summer days recycling jars into fun kids crafts with Party in a Jar!
