When I first visited Miss Nini’s Fine Desserts online, I knew I would have a challenging time picking just one cake for my first order. The small-town Iowa bakery delivers gourmet cakes to doorsteps nationwide with the promise of delicious hand crafted desserts from original, award winning recipes. Miss Nini’s Streusel Walnut Sour Cream Coffee Cake smelled amazing and tasted as fresh as if I picked it up from a local bakery that same afternoon.
I received a tracking number for my dessert and it arrived at my front door just a couple of days later. I opened the box and immediately could smell the cinnamon and brown sugar in the cake.
I removed the packaging and was amazed by the pretty coffee cake. The incredibly moist cake crumbled perfectly when I sliced the first piece. Miss Nini hand swirls the ingredients to create beautiful one a kind patterns in each cake.
The combination of cinnamon and brown sugar with the crunch of toasted English walnuts is perfectly accompanied by a strong cup of coffee for the perfect breakfast.
Leaving only a few crumbs behind, my first piece of Miss Nini’s Streusel Walnut Sour Cream Coffee Cake was a great start to my morning.
Miss Nini’s desserts were previously only available in the Midwest but after many requests from across the county, she started shipping her cakes nationwide. With the coffee cake already a favorite, I’m looking forward to trying her red velvet cake and variety of cheesecakes. The desserts will likely make appearances in my home for special occasions. I’m also looking forward to sending friends and family the perfect birthday cake!
