It’s our favorite time of year and we are getting ready for all the seasonal fun. But getting holiday ready isn’t just about singing along at your child’s school program or addressing your favorite holiday cards. It’s also about making sure you don’t let the business get in the way of actually enjoying the season. This holiday season I took a much better approach than years before – I have meals ready for my daughters to make sure fast food doesn’t happen simply because we are short on time. Gifts, gift wrapping and Kidfresh frozen meals are kept well stocked this season to help alleviate some of the stress with those last minute “mom, I have to bring a present to the party tonight…”, followed by my panicked “what party?” thought.

My holiday ready tips for parents have just three things to help you get through the holiday season: gifts, gift wrapping and quick meal options.

Kidfresh meals are new to Walmart and we found an excellent selection while getting holiday ready. It was easy to sneak in veggies for our oldest daughter with Kidfresh meals years ago. It’s nice to have that same option with her little sister too. The convenience and relief knowing this quick meal is so much better than other quick options is excellent for parents.

Holiday ready tips for parents:

1) Gifts

Keep small gifts stashed so last minute party invites don’t require a visit to the store. My oldest daughter and her friends love painting their nails so I picked up a few sets of nail polishes and stickers. We also have a few items that would be great for adults too.

2) Gift wrapping

Holiday gift bags, blank stockings and tissue paper make it easy to wrap gifts and quickly get out the door when you realize you forgot all about that party invitation you found shoved in your child’s backpack last month.

3) Quick meal options

Stay prepared by stocking your freezer with Kidfresh frozen meals. Little sister loves the Kidfresh Super Duper Chicken Nuggets. And I love they are made with real ingredients including whole grain breading, cauliflower and onions. They have no preservatives and have 70% less fat than the leading brand of breaded chicken nuggets. It’s a win for the entire family!

The Kidfresh Wagon Wheels Mac + Cheese are also a favorite. They have a super secret ingredient too – carrots! They are made with real grated cheddar, creamy cheese sauce and hidden vegetables.

Kidfresh single serve meals are great for just one meal but the multi serve meals like the super duper chicken nuggets make it easy to make sure both our girls get a healthy meal on days full of activities. Meals are made with up to ½ cup of hidden veggies in every Kidfresh meal!

  1. Love the quick gift ideas. I’m notorious for forgetting about a holiday party or get together for my son. It’s nice to have the “I’ve got this covered” feeling– for gifts and meals! [client]
