I live in Arizona, far away from a sandy beach and cool breeze. As the summer is approaching and we are getting closer to days over 100 degrees, I can’t stop thinking about the ocean. Unfortunately, unless I’m on vacation, the closest I get to relaxing on the beach is sitting in our courtyard next to my daughter’s plastic pool. I recently shopped at Sears and enjoyed looking at all the summer styles while I was daydreaming about walking on the beach.
Shopping at Sears made it easy to imagine myself on a glamorous beach vacation. I could see myself enjoying a few magazines with my toes in the sand wearing a sun hat, bright sandals, and big jewelry.
I saw so much color. I remember wearing cropped button down shirts when I was younger and love that I could recreate the look with searsStyle.
I found a beautiful striped Metaphor dress with all the colors of the ocean. It fit perfectly! This dress would be great to wear while exploring a small beach town or as a cover up at a resort pool.
If my mind is on the beach, I definitely need a new swim suit. Although pink is not a traditional ocean inspired hue, the polka dots remind me of vintage beach wear. The stripes in the maxi matched the suit very well and made the perfect cover up.
I went home and tried out my new dress. Perfect for the beach!
I added a turquoise necklace and gold sandals to complete my ocean inspired outfit.
By using my ShopYourWay Rewards card, I was able to find an ocean inspired outfit that easily transitions to the beach for much less than I planned. I also received points on my card to use towards future purchases.
