With the anticipation of the new Jurassic World and Disney Dinosaur coming to theaters soon, we have been talking a lot about dinosaurs. This week my daughter borrowed a few books from the library and we had an afternoon full of learning about the prehistoric giants. Our day included science projects, themed snacks, and a scavenger hunt for fossils in our backyard. Dinosaur swamp dip was a fun way to incorporate a healthy snack into our day of fun. My daughter was giggling with each bite.
Although my daughter will happily eat an avocado, adding it to dairy items to dip other veggies was a big healthy bonus.
Dinosaur Swamp Dip recipe
- 1 C cottage cheese
- 1 C sour cream
- 2 avocados
Prepare avocados by pitting and cutting them into small chunks.
Then mix all ingredients together.
Serve with fresh veggies for a healthy snack during your dinosaur adventure day. The dinosaur swamp dip is also yummy in a burrito with shredded chicken.
