This year Christmas at SeaWorld has a fun new addition – all your favorite characters from the classic Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer film. We have attended Christmas at SeaWorld for the past several years and while they have all been awesome, this year certainly is at the top of the family favorite list. We were invited to attend the media party but also visited the park a couple of more times that weekend to make sure we soaked up all that Rudolph holiday goodness.
You’ll find all your favorite SeaWorld Christmas Celebration exhibits and events PLUS this year the all new Rudolph’s Christmastown. Our daughters are six years apart and both enjoyed everything featured at the event. The holiday lights, characters and music were baby sister’s favorites and her big sister really enjoyed the animal encounters, shows and food. Christmas at SeaWorld has something for the entire family.
Rudolph’s Christmastown
Rudolph’s Christmastown, located near Wild Arctic, is where you’ll find your favorite Rudolph and friends characters.
The town Christmas tree is huge and stunning all lit up. The stage is where elves dance and sing with Rudolph and Friends. You can also catch a hilarious North Pole themed performance by the Elf Band.
Characters are out and ready to pose for photos. There are also areas where you can have your photo taken with Rudolph, Bumble and more. The giant snow globe is a fun place for family photos and playing in the snow with best friends.
You can use your own camera to capture all the great moments and photos with characters but the SeaWorld PhotoKey gives you the opportunity to view and purchase professional photos to share with family and friends. During the media event we were provided a PhotoKey with downloads to all the photos we took that evening. The photos from my own camera don’t quite capture all the fun and I wasn’t in any of them. The PhotoKey is a great way to enjoy the park and save your favorite photos from the Christmas Celebration and your entire visit.
There are plenty of other photo opportunities in Rudolph’s Christmastown too.
Santa’s Christmas Village
Santa’s Christmas Village is a separate themed area featuring Santa, a couple of his reindeer and more fun with elves.
Santa’s chimney, the sweet smell of cinnamon rolls, and lit Christmas trees set the stage for a wonderful winter experience.
Santa is available for photos in his cottage. There is no fee to visit and you can use your PhotoKey to get the perfect holiday photo.
Last year our Santa photo at SeaWorld was an epic baby crying photo. This year baby sister was a little more okay with sitting next to Santa as long as mommy and big sister were there too.
Visit Santa’s reindeers to learn about antlers and ask if they can really fly.
You’ll also find Mrs. Claus here and have the opportunity to watch silly shows with the elves, participate in sing alongs and even play in snow! Baby sister stood next to an elf during a sing along and was so surprised to see the snow falling.
Food
The SeaWorld Christmas Celebration food will have you thinking about mac & cheese all year long. The menu includes cinnamon rolls, holiday pizza, a variety of mac & cheese, waffles on a stick and more!
Without spoiling the experience you should taste for yourself, I’ll share that my very favorite menu item this year is the Holiday Mac & Cheese with bacon, sweet potato and cheddar cheese.
