The Big Game will be here soon and we’re excited to celebrate with friends. With so much to plan, I’m going easy with the drinks and making a festive 7UP® Game Day Rita garnished with football limes. The mocktail recipe has just a few ingredients and can easily be adjusted with alcohol for an adult only drink. 7UP, limeade, and everything you need for the fun football limes were purchased from Walmart making this an ultra easy drink to make the day of the Big Game without having to make an extra trip to the store for ingredients.
We love 7UP because it’s such a classic taste. The carbonated lemon lime drink is the start to so many great drink recipes and also a favorite all by itself in a big glass full of ice.
Game Day Rita Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 7UP 12 oz can
- 1 can limeade frozen concentrate
- 1 C water
- 5 oz water
Game Day Rita tip: Switch the 5 oz water for tequila if desired.
Pour 7UP, limeade and water in blender. Add juice from one fresh squeezed lime.
Blend frozen margarita and serve in glass garnished with a football lime. If you prefer you can also add lime juice and margarita salt to the rim of your glass.
The football limes are a quick garnish to make and definitely add some fun to your 7UP Game Day Rita. Simply cut limes in half then use a Dremel tool to gently draw the football lines. This can easily be done with kitchen tools if you would prefer but the Dremel is the most quick way to get the lines straight. I’m a busy mom with so much on my agenda when getting ready for parties – make those cute football limes fast!
Cut a groove into the fruit and place on the glass rim.

I don’t drink but I can shared your recipe with my friends.
I think I have all these ingredients in my fridge/freezer right now. And totally going to mix that both ways! The only difference is that I am not looking forward to football season. haha
Those football limes are adorable. I like the idea of using 7up in the mix for a little bubble!
You have combined my favorite pop with my FAVORITE adult beverage!! These look so sweet and refreshing for summer. Easy to make too! Can’t wait to try them this weekend!!

YES!!!!! I thought I was the only person that did this. I love margaritas and this is my short cut version of making it quickly. LOVE it! Sometimes people can’t tell the difference. Great recipe.

You have water as an ingredient wide and no tequila. I’m assuming the 5 oz. measurement should be the tequila?
Sorry that should say “twice”, not wide.
