Flamingo Bedroom
For her entire little life, our youngest daughter has been obsessed with birds. Shadowing her big sister, the Seaworld Kid Blogger, through many learning opportunities and animal encounters has given her experiences beyond that of an average four year old. She’s learned about many different animals and although they have all been amazing to her, she is most fond of big birds with flamingos being her current favorite. We have been thinking about her room makeover for awhile but it wasn’t until I was given a complimentary photo canvas from Canvas Factory, that we decided she would have a flamingo bedroom. Inspired by a favorite photo of little sister and a flamingo at the SeaWorld Aquatica waterpark in San Diego, we ordered peel and stick flamingo wallpaper, arranged some fun canvases and gave little sister the flamingo bedroom of her dreams.
It’s always been the birds for this sweet girl and she has soaked up every opportunity to get up close and personal with flamingos.
Last summer during a visit to Aquatica, she had the opportunity to learn all about flamingos while feeding them and even posed for some fun photos. Little sister also has a special talent of turning all family photos into hilarious memories. This flamingo photo was no different. She certainly did not have a tight grip on that flamingo’s long neck, but in the picture it seems to appear she has this tall guy in a not so favorable position. I promise, the bird was comfortable and not harmed.
We created a canvas with the favorite photo online at Canvas Factory. The process was quick and the canvas arrived within a week. It was the beginning to our flamingo bedroom decor. We love the high quality and affordable prices to add some personalization to a bedroom.
A few other canvases we picked up from the At Home wall art clearance sale created a great wall collage with our personal canvas over little sister’s bed.
The Tempaper removable peel and stick flamingo wallpaper is an excellent feature in this room. I was initially hesitant to add such a detailed design but it made a great addition to the room on just one wall. It’s as easy as it sounds to apply, truly just peel and stick. It removes easily with no damage to the wall so when she decides she would rather not count flamingo at bedtime anymore, the room can quickly be transformed. The wallpaper can also be used to embellish furniture and other accessories in the room. I added a small piece and one flamingo to the nightstand too.
