Snack Time Matching Activity
Since around March, when my daughters began staying home for online school, and through summer, they have had access to moderate their own snacks at home. My youngest will always choose the candy dish if it’s completely up to her so I’ve been very mindful about keeping more nutritious snacks at her reach. Sun-Maid Sour Raisin Snacks taste like sour candy but are whole fruit with no added sugar – so far little sister hasn’t noticed we took away the candy bowl in the pantry because we have had four different flavor varieties for her to choose from. I made a snack time matching activity printable to add some fun to snack time for both my daughters to share moments in the afternoons when we are all home together. Sun-Maid snacks are both great tasting and made with good ingredients — a combination that’s almost impossible to find.
Remember the lunchbox size boxes of Sun-Maid Raisins? For many, Sun-Maid raisins have been a household staple for as long as they can remember. But snacking has changed over the years, and Sun-Maid has changed, too. What hasn’t changed is that Sun-Maid Raisin snacks are still delicious and made with whole fruit.
Sun-Maid is taking the raisin up a level using sweet golden raisins, and simply adding a little sour pucker of natural fruit flavoring– that’s it! No added sugar, and nothing artificial. It’s an entirely new flavor experience… like candy that’s sour yet sweet.
Snack Time Matching Activity
- Print the snack time matching activity printable and laminate.
- Open several different flavor packages of Sour Raisin Snacks and place in center of placemat.
- Separate Sour Raisin Snacks then giggle as you eat your snack and determine if you matched them to the correct fruit flavor.
Everything has felt pretty heavy lately but childhood is always in session, especially with Sun-Maid snacks. There’s also time for a reminder of the importance of family time and nutritious snacks!
After the snack time matching activity, my girls spent the afternoon playing in their secret fort under the stairs together. They have spent more time in their magical mermaid room this year than since I painted the under-the-stairs closet with chalkboard paint and mermaid scales several years ago. They rearrange blankets, chairs and pillows there often and it makes my momma heart happy knowing they are also enjoying nutritious snacks there together too.

This is such a fun activity! Can’t wait to do this with my youngest.
How cute is that?! Plus, watermelon raisins?! I’m going to have to try those. We love snacking on dried fruits but I haven’t seen those in the store yet.
Healthy snacks is what we keep in stock at home. These Sun Maid sour raisin snacks would be a great addition to our pantry. My kids will love the Strawberry variant while my husband will reach for the Blueberry one.
how cute are these! I’ve only tried the plain ones, didn’t know Sun Maid has them in different flavors!

I love healthy snacks in general! I don’t know the brand but I am all for any tasty healthy snack for the kids and for the parents lol…
Looks like a fun activity, also a great way to help educate on different fruits. I will have to give this a try with my nieces.
These packs look so yummy and delicious and I always love raisins and these new flavors sound really good and are worth trying for sure! Love the activity you created for it too and will have to give it a try with my god daughter Scarlet this weekend 🙂
Love this and the fact it works fine motor and carries building skills into snack time! Thanks for sharing.
I had no idea that these flavors of raisins were even a thing. I HAVE to get them for my kids.
Such a cute activity! I grew up eating raisins as snacks and still love them today! Thank you for sharing!
Fun idea! My kids loved snacking on raisins when they were younger. This is such a great idea for the young ones…such fun new flavors!
That wont work for my kids. I can just see my son eating it all before we even start the activity.
