My daughter is absolutely fascinated by bugs and I knew she would enjoy visiting Orkin’s Summer Pestology at the Arizona Science Center. My family recently attended the summer pestology weekend and learned all about bugs with fun demonstrations and activities.
The weekend event was full of great learning opportunities. While my daughter always enjoys learning about bugs, my husband and I were also interested in learning about our local pests.
Each area of the science center had different activities for hands on learning. We enjoyed turning the “Who Am I” matching cards into a family competition. My daughter was very excited to show us how much she already knows about bugs. It was a fun family activity and we learned quite a bit about pests.
Orkin handed out goodie bags to the families attending the event. My daughter instantly blew up the balloon and played with her new plastic bugs. The scorpion tattoo has been on her foot for a couple of days already!
The Summer Pestology exhibit will be at the Arizona Science Center until September 9, 2013. If you have kiddos that are fascinated by bugs or if you are simply looking to learn more about creepy, crawly creatures, be sure to visit the exhibit.
