The service is appealing to me for three reasons: 1) It’s super fast, 2) It’s secure, and 3) It’s ultra affordable! The service is available with two different devices – the HotSpot or the Stick. I have the HotSpot and love it! It supports up to eight simultaneous Wi-Fi enabled devices within 150 feet.
The Stick supports one user at a time via USB and is compatible with both Mac and Windows.
Both the HotSpot and the Stick offer two different speeds: Lightspeed and Warpspeed. Given the choice, just based on their names alone, I want Warpspeed! In learning about the NetZero options, I’ve realized sometimes the Lightspeed setting is more appropriate. It is designed for email and web browsing. It is aimed at conserving your data usage. Warpspeed is up to 10 times faster than Lightspeed but also uses more data. All plans allow you to change your speed setting online at your MyAccount Page.
One of my favorite features of the HotSpot is how small the device is. It moves easily from my office for use with my Wi-Fi enabled desktop to my purse for use with my Wi-Fi enabled laptop.

Today we went to California to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I was able to use my laptop on the airplane and in the car on the way to the hotel. This is the first time I’ve left on a short vacation with out worrying about wrapping up everything online before leaving. In fact, I’m using the Hotspot right now to share this post!
The service is extremely affordable. Additionally there are no activation fees, contracts, or commitments. My absolute favorite part is there are no overage charges.
I’m excited to share that NetZero has offered to share their great service with one of you for free. One lucky reader will receive one HotSpot device and a three months of service (a $300 value)!
