Have fun getting ready for a visit from the Easter Bunny with these easy Easter Carrot Cookies! This post was originally published 3/27/14.
Cute and quick seems to be the trend in my home for holiday themed desserts and treats. I simply don’t have the time to spend hours in the kitchen working on pretty creations but with our oldest daughter loves sharing with friends, family, and neighbors making holiday treats is necessary. Our Easter carrot cookies are the perfect treat to make for a home Easter celebration or leave out for the Easter Bunny before he delivers baskets.
Easter carrot cookies ingredients:
- Milano cookies
- orange frosting
- green licorice
I’ve used Betty Crocker decorating icing in several recipes including my shamrock cookies in a hurry. The no mess frosting is easy to use with the included decorating tips and I love getting to avoid mixing color.
Easter Carrot Cookies tutorial:
Tear the green licorice pieces apart and set aside.
Take four to five pieces of licorice and pinch at bottom to hold together. Place on top of cookie.
Decorate with orange icing to look like carrot.
Make enough to share!
The Easter Bunny will be happy when he stops by your home to deliver baskets and finds these Easter carrot cookies!
Do you leave treats out for the Easter Bunny?
What a cute idea. Definitely going to make this Easter. Love the chocolate on the bottom of cookie. Yum!
