Our family vacation to Kauai, Hawaii as part of a sponsored travel opportunity with ResorTime was incredible. We did everything from cruising the Na Pali Coast with Holo Holo Charters to exploring local towns and snorkeling with turtles. We stayed at the Hanalei Bay Resort for our full visit but also had the opportunity to tour several other Kauai ResorTime properties. The Makai Club Resort was just a short 10 minute drive away. While my husband and seven year old daughter were snorkeling, I toured the Makai Club Resort with our baby. It was a rainy day, much different than most of our weeklong visit, but it made for a beautiful opportunity to walk through the warm puddles looking for rainbows. ResorTime is giving away a week stay at the Makai Club Resort to a lucky Brie Brie Blooms reader. The lush grounds at the Makai Club Resort offer views of Hawaiian tropics and the opportunity to learn about many different plants and flowers. The condo style accommodations have patios to enjoy as well.
The flowers of Hawaii are everywhere but not permitted to come home with guests. The Makai Club Resort provides an opportunity for you to choose an orchid to be permanently planted on their property at your departure. Upon arrival you select your favorite orchid and take care of it in your room until you leave. You are even able to select the location where you would like the orchid planted on your behalf. What an amazing opportunity to remember your vacation with an orchid you can return to see during your next Kauai family vacations. Trust me, you’ll want to plan many many more after your first visit.
While the Makai Club Resort does not offer beach access, you are within driving distance to all the island has to offer. Fresh cold coconuts each morning, snorkeling, site seeing, and gorgeous evening sunsets were a few of our family favorites.
Our seven year old daughter loved ziplining upside down through the Hawaiian tropics with Koloa Zipline.
The accommodations at the Makai Club Resort make it easy to be comfortable for a week with your family. For us, family vacations with two children, feel challenging in a hotel room. But in a condo or cottage offering a full kitchen, dining room, multiple bathrooms, living room, and spacious bedrooms, your entire family will be comfortable. The closest grocery store is less than a five minute drive away and you can, and should, visit local farmers markets for fresh island fruits, veggies, and artisanal creations.
With hundreds of reasons to visit again, we can’t wait to plan our next visit to Kauai, Hawaii. Are you ready to plan your visit too?
