During our first family visit to LEGOLAND® we also experienced the LEGOLAND California Resort SEA LIFE™ Aquarium for the first time. We visit the Arizona SEA LIFE Aquarium frequently and knew to expect an amazing experience but our expectations were certainly exceeded. LEGO® bricks and sea life together create an incredible attraction. The aquarium provided the perfect indoor experience to relax and cool off during our warm summer visit to LEGOLAND. The aquarium is located directly next to LEGOLAND and you are able to enter through the park.
The aquarium is home to more than 200 species of sea creatures and over 5,000 individual aquatic animals. You can find everything from giant crabs to lion fish. The new CLAWS exhibit features some of the largest species of crabs in the world.
There are plenty of exhibits where you can watch the sea creatures but there are also many interactive exhibits where you get to touch the creatures too.
The Discovery Zone Touch Pool is where you can touch the sea stars and crabs.
The aquarium is full of close encounters and great photo opportunities!
If you are looking to get up close with a shark, you will be excited to walk through the 35 feet tunnel while observing sharks, rays, and tropical fish. The 200,000 gallon tank is amazing!
At the end of your visit you can stop by the Ocean Journey Cafe for a light snack or full meal. The cafe has a great menu with burgers, pasta, and salad options. The cafe also has healthy meal options for children.
After visiting the gift shop we exited the front of the aquarium to see the amazing LEGO model.
Visiting the aquarium was a great activity during our visit to LEGOLAND. We would love to go back and spend more time with the sea creatures.
Each day the aquarium has a schedule full of shows and animal feedings. When planning your visit be sure you observe the feeding and show time schedule.
The aquarium is open daily and is a great way to spend a few hours during your LEGOLAND visit or an entire day spent with the sea creatures.
