Father’s Day Gifts for the Active Dad
It’s almost the holiday to recognize all the awesome dads out there and we have lined up some great Father’s Day Gifts for the Active Dad. This year our family has really made an effort to do more outdoor and physical activities together. Our youngest daughter loves being on a t-ball team and our oldest is very involved in competitive rock climbing. Aside from being the biggest parent cheerleaders, last year we recognized we aren’t doing much to get active as a family together. Time in the gym, family date nights at the local trampoline park, afternoons rock climbing and much more is on our agenda this year to get us active together. Gifts for the active dad include favorites from AfterShokz, Ties.com, Zenni Eyewear, the USGA U.S. Open, Hanes Black Label and Bruce Charles Designs.
When it comes to our family, my husband is the center of our calm. With two little girls in the house, plus me, our house is a constant swirling chaos of drama. Our youngest daughter certainly steps it up with all her hilarity but our preteen is also giving my husband a good view of what’s to come being a girl dad with teenagers in our home soon.

Gifts for the Active Dad
For Father’s Day weekend we will be traveling out of state to watch our oldest daughter participate in a rock climbing competition. That gave us one more reason to get our Father’s Day gift ready early so we weren’t scrambling the day before we headed to the airport. This year we have a short list of favorite gift ideas for the active dad.
I have a pair of AfterShokz for myself and already know the bone conduction wireless headphones are the safest way to tune into music and calls without tuning out surroundings. AfterShokz have been around since 2011 and use bone conduction technology leaving your eardrums open to the environment. They are perfect for outdoor activities and in the gym while you’re also keeping a close on your surroundings, or like in our case, your children. The AfterShokz Trekz Air Tech Bundle is great for gifting and comes with a popsocket, portable storage case, power bank for an extra boost on-the-go and a hot/cold tumbler to keep your drink the perfect temperature.
Through June 8th, use code DADS for $50 off Trekz Air Tech Bundle.
Active dads need to have a few staple items in their closets outside of gym wear too. As much as my husband would much rather live in active shorts and tees, he wears jackets and suits for work often. A tie is never the wrong choice for a gift and we love the Black Bucyrus Skinny Tie from Ties.com. Our girls and I are in pink often and this tie is the perfect matching accessory for our husband to pull our family photos together. It’s interlaced with wispy whimsical floral patterns so you can look and feel great wearing it. We’re also big fans of the message on the tag, “Work hard and be excellent to each other.”
To save 15% on your Ties.com purchase through the end of 2019, use code TIESXBABBLE.
My husband has worn glasses since he was young and although he wears contacts daily, often wears glasses in the evenings or at home on the weekends. He does not own prescription sunglasses so he toggles between glasses and contacts with non-prescription sunglasses while driving. We are solving that challenge with the help of Zenni Eyewear. They have polarized sun lenses as add-ons that clip onto your prescription glasses to seamlessly turn them into sunglasses. The clip on sets include prescription glasses with a metal brow bar sunshade that attaches easily to the corners with small magnets. They’re barely visible when attached and make it easy to own only one favorite pair of prescription glasses. We are gifting the Square Clip-On Set 503215 with a wide frame available in glossy black or matte tortoiseshell and adjustable nose pads to provide a comfortable fit. The polarized sunshade has a dark gray tint and seamlessly attaches to the frames for a modern pair of sunglasses.
Sporting Event Tickets
Hello dream gift, we are giving my husband two tickets to the 2020 U.S. Open at Winged Foot Golf Club in New York. That leaves plenty of time to make travel arrangements and invite a guest. The USGA U.S. Open Winged Foot Championship will take place June 15-21, 2020 ending on Father’s Day next year. Maybe we’ll turn it into a family trip to New York or send my husband on a fun weekend away with a friend. Either way, it’s an epic gift that our daughters are so excited to see their dad open.
We already included something to help my husband dress up; we’re also including activewear from Hanes Black Label. The modern-day marriage of comfort, fashion, and style are made from US Grown Cotton and are a great tee for a casual day. We are gifting the V-neck but these premium washed tees are also available in a Crew Neck Style.
The active guy has an active mind so we included a Bruce Charles Designs Schulte Solid Brass Spinning Top in our favorite Father’s Day Gifts for the Active Dad. One of my husband’s most prized trinkets is a small metal rocket he made as a freshman at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. While it doesn’t come with the challenge of making it at RPI, the elegant yet functional piece of art is sure to put a smile on my husband’s face on Father’s Day. It has extremely long spin times, up to 10 minutes, and will be a great challenge piece for my daughters and their dad. The spinning top comes in a classic gold-color solid brass, is CNC machined for ideal balance and has polished outer surfaces for a brilliant shine.

Now we just have to wait and see how long my daughters can wait before handing over this fun Father’s Day gift crate to their dad. We never make it to holidays when we shop early and we get so excited to share personal gifts. My husband surely deserves it and we know he’ll love his Father’s Day Gifts for the Active Dad.
