With Halloween on its way, we are starting to have some fun with festive baking in the kitchen. This week we made green Frankenstein cookies using a gingerbread man cookie cutter. The green Frankenstein gingerbread men sugar cookies are the perfect treat to get you ready for Halloween!
Ingredients:
- sugar cookie dough
- green food dye
- Wilton candy eyeballs (affiliate link)
- Wilton black sparkle gel (affiliate link)
You also need a gingerbread man cookie cutter to make the cookies.
Begin by coloring your sugar cookie dough with the green dye. A bright lime green is perfect for your Frankenstein cookies.
Use the gingerbread man cookie cutter to cut out the cookies and place on a non stick baking sheet.
Bake according to your cookie dough instructions and allow cookies to completely cool.
Use the sparkle gel and candy eyeballs to turn your green gingerbread men into Frankenstein cookies.
The sparkle gel has a fine tip that allows you to easily draw hair and neck bolts.
Next use a small amount of gel to hold the eyes in place and then add Frankenstein’s mouth.
Share your cookies with friends and neighbors!
Who will be getting a plate of Frankenstein gingerbread men sugar cookies from you this Halloween?
These are adorable. I never would have thought to dye cookie dough green and make monster gingerbread men. What a simple and fabulous idea.
Oh my goodness these are so cute, and look so delicious.
