Everything Kids Fest 2012

A couple of weeks ago my family attended the second annual Everything Kids Fest.  We had an amazing time!  I was not familiar with the festival until Wendy from the Arizona Mom’s Network shared the details.  The festival had entertainment, character appearances, kids activities, local small businesses, and businesses sharing products.  All you needed was your ticket and you had access to all the fun with no additional costs!  It was a great networking event for me and tons of fun for my family!

My daughter found a few favorite attractions and booths.  She loved the baby animals at the CliftonLarsonAllen Petting Zoo!

The artist at the Fancy Faces face painting tent did an amazing job on my daughter’s butterfly!

The McDonald’s Paper Palace had a really fun Lorax mustache craft.

We loved seeing Disney characters!  In addition to watching the great shows from the princesses, we met Tinkerbell and Peter Pan!

I have not been shy about my daughter’s fascination with bugs and insects.  She instantly fell in love with Jungle Jill at the festival!  She had so many interesting insects and reptiles in her booth.  My daughter held Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches for well over an hour.  Jill was very attentive to her and answered all of her bug questions.  The booth was also packed full of snakes and lizards.  If you’re not interested in insects and reptiles, she had a few cute furry things too!  If my daughter is still this interested in insects next year, Jungle Jill just might be making an appearance at her birthday party!

The event had so much to see and do!  My daughter would have loved to spend more time in the Legoland California Build Area, the Truly Nolen Coloring Tent, or the Moms Making Six Figures Peter Pan Pirate Playground.

We had a great time and will definitely be attending next year’s festival!  Visit the Everything Kids Fest website to see a list of all the exhibitors, sponsors, and attractions.
