Essential Oils introduction to managing your families health (giveaway)

When I first heard of essential oils as a means to compliment medical treatments I was skeptical. Really skeptical. But the more I read and heard first hand accounts from friends I considered exploring an essential oils introduction. The oils can be used aromatically, topically, or internally and with so much educational information available, I felt quite overwhelmed when I began my journey to learn more. Then I had a consultation with Live Well with Adele and felt completely comfortable exploring the many different uses of oils.

Adele regularly teaches classes and offers consultations but also provided me with the Modern Essentials book and guide to essential oils for maternity. Currently pregnant and having no previous personal experience with essential oils, the educational materials were excellent resources. I learned there are many safe oil options while pregnant, nursing, and even for newborns.

Therapeutic oils have been used as a means to improve overall health and treatment of many everyday illnesses for many years but it wasn’t until 2008 that dōTERRA® began offering therapeutic-grade essential oils and other healthy living products while providing education through wellness advocates. As a healthcare professional with experience in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care of Adults and Intensive Care of Newborn babies as a respiratory therapist, Adele began her journey with dōTERRA because she saw firsthand the powerful benefits of essential oils. She provided me with the +Family Physician Kit to help me get started and experience the benefits in my home.

With 10 different oils I was excited to begin learning about all their benefits. The top of the box clearly explains the use of each oil and different application methods. By cross referencing the Modern Essentials book and essentials oils for maternity guide I was able to start immediately using the oils. The guide included in the kit makes it easy to use the oils without any additional educational material.

We have been using the dōTERRA Petal Diffuser with the Breathe oil instead of a humidifier when my daughter is stuffy. All the oils and many different combinations can be used in the diffuser and I’m looking forward to exploring the different benefits.

  1. There wasn’t a place to comment on her OnGuard post, so I’ll comment here: I’ve been using OnGuard in our house since we had a sick outbreak…and I have a hand gel we use, too!

  2. Lavender is my favorite, and I love oils and massages, I would also want to try the on guard for immunity, we keep getting sick here, so it might help

  3. I am most excited about this giveaway and trying them all! But my #1 would be On Guard, making sure to stay healthy as long this holiday and winter season

  4. I love Adele’s blog and her success stories! I love using OnGuard and Purify mixed with vinegar to mop my tile. Makes the house smell great and I don’t have to worry about any chemicals with my kids!

  5. I love that oils can help during pregnancy because you can’t take much while pregant and it’s well needed with the constant headaches and stuffy nose that comes with.

  6. I have been researching essential oils. My young daughter has asthma and her pediatrician recommended using peppermint and the On Guard oil blend.

  7. I am excited about using melaluca and interested to see if this would work for me as I have something called pseudo tumor, I would love to see if these would help my headaches.

  8. I’d love to try the On guard- I help out in the nursery at church and we always seem to have at least one or two kids with runny noses.

  9. The lavender, I need something to soothe anxiety that this mama gets from time to time. I’ve actually been wanting to try various oils, would love to wint his!

  10. My sister and her three kids could totally benefit from a family physician kit. She’s a hard working single mom and could never afford to buy one herself. On a side note, Adele is fantastic 🙂

  11. I got the privilege to meet Adele, through my sister in law Jody. what a wonderful and very knowledgable woman. I know Doterra has helped a few people in my family. One of my favorite oils is the slim and sassy, that I recently bought. Can’t wait to try them all.
