DIY Spider Web Headband

October 21, 2013 By: Heather1 Comment

A few years ago I made myself a spider web headband to wear on Halloween.  The project was very quick and I have worn the headband to Halloween parties and trick or treating with my family several years consecutively.

DIY Spider Web Headband

The headband requires very little supplies and took less than 10 minutes to complete.

Supplies:

  • white felt
  • black thread
  • sewing machine or needle to stitch by hand
  • white ribbon
  • plastic spider
  • hot glue gun

Cut the white felt to approximately 4″ x 4″.  Use black thread on a sewing machine or by hand to stitch the web onto the felt.  A big plastic spider will easily cover any of your stitching mistakes so don’t put too much pressure on yourself to make a perfect web.

Cut your ribbon to fit as a headband.  Glue the spider web to an additional piece of white felt with the ribbon in the middle.  Carefully trim the edges around the web.

Glue on your spider and you’re ready for Halloween!

Do you dress up on Halloween or just wear festive accessories?
