My recent pink and gold baby shower was a perfect opportunity to have some fun crafting and share DIY gold animal jar party favors with guests. The party’s color scheme made the gold toppers on jars filled with pink candy match perfectly but these favors could easily be used at other parties like a boy baby shower or birthday parties by changing the color of the candy.
DIY gold animal jar party favors tutorial
Supplies:
- small jars (I purchased mine at IKEA for less than $1/jar)
- plastic animals
- gold spray paint
- Gorilla Glue
- candy to fill jars
Paint animals and jar lids with gold spray paint. Allow to dry completely.
Glue animals to tops of jar lids and allow to dry. Fill jars with candy.
The DIY gold animal jar party favors were a great way to thank guests for attending my pink and gold baby shower. I have a few jars left and will be using them in the nursery to store small items.
Do you have an upcoming party to share animal jar party favors?
Love this idea my sister had been looking for ideas & this is perfect. Where did you purchase the animals ?
Thanks! They are so much fun to make. I have the extras in my daughter’s nursery. The sets of animals were purchased from Joann’s with a 40% off coupon but really you could buy them anywhere; I would even try the dollar store.
Hello! I have tried making these but any gold spray paint I have gotten doesn’t seem to look that bright or even stay on that well! It’s almost streaky! What kind of paint did you use? I really appreciate your help!
