Yesterday was the first in awhile we didn’t have late evening after school activities. That meant I could take a little me time and schedule a hair appointment. In fact, it was a much needed appointment after little sister cut my hair. That’s a long and comical parenting story for another time, but this gave me a great opportunity to prepare a quick meal for my family before I left and step out without kiddos for a couple of hours. I have so many creative egg white noodle recipes on my fall meal plan list but decided instead to turn to Chicken Cabbage Noodle Bowls, a recipe my family enjoys and could be quickly made with ingredients I already had at home.
No Yolks is a healthy egg noodle alternative and incredibly versatile so we keep it stocked in our pantry. Little sister is always my big helper while grocery shopping and this week she was excited to sit in the cart and check off our shopping list. First up on our list was No Yolks broad egg white noodles.
This week we made an easy slow cooker beef stroganoff to share with our neighbors while trick or treating and our daughters were happy to see the noodles in another meal this week. With so many different easy recipes using No Yolks egg white noodles, the No Yolks “Not Your Mommas” recipes will add flavor to your meal plan this week. The Philly Cheese Steak Stroganoff Skillet is already on my to do list and I’ll be trying many more of the creative dishes with video recipes to follow in the kitchen.
Chicken Cabbage Noodle Bowls Recipe
Ingredients:
- Shredded cabbage
- Shredded chicken
- Grated carrots
- Soy sauce
- No Yolks Broad Egg White Noodles
Sauté shredded cabbage and grated carrots with oil in skillet over medium heat. While sautéing vegetables, boil egg white noodles in water until soft.
Mix cabbage and carrots mix with No Yolks noodles and shredded chicken. Top with soy sauce and enjoy! Everyone in my family prefers different amounts of each ingredient so I do not mix all together before serving.
The Chicken Cabbage Noodle Bowl is great for a warm fall meal and an excellent dinner option on those busy school nights.

I really like these noodles. We cook with them all the time. My favorite is making Beef Burgundy. It’s delicious.
This soup looks really good. I need to make it for my kids.
Those noodles do look good. I would love to try them for my son who eats everything. I might just try that recipe and see how he likes it.
This looks delicious! When anyone in our family gets sick I make homemade chicken noodle soup with egg noodles, and I’ve always loved beef stroganoff too. Noodles are such a comfort food at our house.
This look lovely! It looks like something my mum would whip up for me if I was out cold with the flu in bed! It is such a warm and comfortable food!
