Every mom deserves a break. Whether you are working outside of your home, from home, or just being mom, motherhood is not easy. Last weekend I went on a little mommy break with close friends. I was home less than 24 hours later and felt completely refreshed. Our #PHXMomcation is just what I needed. We dined at the True Food Kitchen, stayed over at a Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak resort casita, then had breakfast at the resort's Rico's restaurant. Our casita at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Read More... {Read More...}
Get your kids active with a LeapFrog LeapBand virtual pet
I received free products in order to host the LeapFrog and CLIF Kid sponsored MommyParty. All opinions and ideas are my own. We celebrated Fit Made Fun Day September 6th by getting active with the new LeapFrog LeapBand and sharing healthy snacks, CLIF Kids Zbar Protein. The Fit Made Fun celebration was to inspire kids everywhere to get up and active. The new LeapBand is an excellent way to encourage active play while making fitness fun. The new LeapFrog Read More... {Read More...}
Don’t forget your stroller at Disneyland…you might get peed on!
I am an overachieving mom. I wanted my daughter out of diapers before she was two, reading by four, and definitely not sitting in a stroller at five. Sometimes it takes a funny mishap, like your daughter peeing on her daddy's head at Disneyland, to take a step back and realize maybe it is okay to push a five year old around in a stroller! Since that happened we have a stroller at Disneyland and I don't feel badly when I get odd looks for pushing my only child in a stroller when Read More... {Read More...}
Back to School Effortless Meals
We officially survived our first week back to school. My daughter was so excited to start kindergarten this week. She came home even more excited to tell me all about the fun in her classroom each day. By the end of the week we were all exhausted from the excitement. A new routine without the ability to nap during the day has worn her out. With last minute school supplies to purchase and other errands with my daughter after school this week, we could all use a break from our normal dinner Read More... {Read More...}
First day of school gift with kids cards
Today is my daughter's very first day of kindergarten. She has been so excited all summer and couldn't wait to get ready for school this morning. While she was busy learning on her first day I put together a fun surprise for when she gets home later today. Her first day of school good job gift includes a new coloring book with twistable crayons, a stuffed Minnie Mouse, a cute Minnie dress to wear this week, and one of the new Hallmark kids cards that unfolds into a jumbo poster. The Read More... {Read More...}
Children of Disney Social Media Moms Celebration learning about friendship with Disney
I have had many great opportunities through this blog. Sometimes those opportunities are working with brands I love, attending events, and meeting idols. The best endeavors are when my entire family gets to participate and offers my daughter valuable learning opportunities. As a consumer I have a short list of brands I've favored well before I ever worked in social marketing. It's amazing to be able to work with some of those brands in this capacity and build genuine relationships with Read More... {Read More...}
Teach your child about vaccinations
When I noticed my daughter playing with her dolls and a doctor kit recently I wondered what she was doing. As I listened to her imaginative play, I overheard her telling the dolls they all needed their shots to go to kindergarten. My daughter is going to kindergarten in just a couple of weeks so back to school vaccinations have been a hot topic in our house. She knows about vaccinations and why she needs them to stay healthy but she doesn't know about all the children without access to a Read More... {Read More...}
It’s okay to take a break, social media influencers can go on vacation too
As a social media influencer, the work day never really ends. Growing your presence, consistently creating content, and fostering your online relationships takes time. Most often, more time than you can anticipate. With constantly changing goals and focuses on different platforms, it's easy to get overwhelmed and never walk away from your smart phone in fear of missing an important opportunity for engagement and growth. It's summer and that means my daughter is ready for some fun. I am extremely Read More... {Read More...}
Identity Theft – credit monitoring vs. protecting your identity
With an alarming number of cases of identity theft and credit cards being used fraudulently, credit monitoring services are growing in popularity. While I agree both identity theft and having your credit card being used fraudulently are both hardships, they are two different types of crime and should be treated that way. As a victim of identity theft, I learned very quickly the challenges of feeling secure. I gained back my sense of security with Lifelock but it took a lot of research and time Read More... {Read More...}
Celebrating our extraordinary children
When I first learned my daughter was a girl while I was pregnant, I imagined pink bows, princess dresses, and dance recitals. I had no idea six years later I would be mommy to a pretty little girl with a great early interest in bugs and other insects. Now, at five years old, that early interest has evolved into a deep love of science and for all animals. She is compassionate and turns every encounter with an animal or bug into a learning opportunity. I am so honored to say my daughter is Read More... {Read More...}
