Arizona Science Center Mirror Maze
The Arizona Science Center’s new featured exhibit, “A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature,” explores natures puzzles, patterns and mazes. Last week my daughters and I were invited to visit the exhibit prior to the opening. The mirror maze was our favorite activity and my daughters learned a lot about symmetry and patterns in nature exploring the many learning activities in the exhibit. The new featured exhibit is open now through September 4th and we are excited to partner with theArizona Science Center for a ticket giveaway.
The mirror maze is 1,800 square feet of mirrors and surprising to walk into from the front of the exhibit. The maze feels much larger inside because of the repeating mirrors.
My daughters enjoyed taking the lead and finding the hidden walls with more information about patterns in nature.
After the mirror maze we spent some time learning about different types of patterns in nature including symmetry in music and measuring our own arm spans.
