With a five year old daughter at home that loves princesses, she was so excited to learn about the Princess Festival in Mesa, Arizona this summer. Spending the day learning about how to be a princess sounds like the perfect summer play date with a best friend. My daughter and one of her closest friends from her Pre-K class had so much fun at the Princess Festival together.
The entire event stays true to the theme teaching being a princess is about showing kindness to others. The princesses featured at the festival are all young girls excited to share the valuable lessons.
Each pass to the festival is for a designated time. During registration guests are greeted by princesses and receive a few special surprises. Each guest gets to pick a favorite princess book, make a button with their name to wear for the day, and receive a sprinkle of pixie dust in their hair.
Then they move on to the first performance, a play about kindness and sharing featuring several different princesses. The performance ends with a special meet and greet so the children can get autographs from the princesses and take pictures.
Next the guest go to a room where they can meet all the traditional princesses. My daughter and her friend enjoyed chatting with Cinderella, Jasmine, Snow White, Belle, and Ariel.
Each princess signs autographs and poses for pictures with the guests. My daughter and her friend had fun taking pictures pretending to be princesses and mermaids.
As guests continue on through the festival activities they are treated to several plays with young performers. Each performance brings valuable lessons about kindness, friendship, and unique talents.
My daughter was very excited to meet the Princess featured in her book she had selected earlier in the day. Princess Maurine was pretty and very kind.
The festival activities also include crafts, coloring, and face painting. My daughter loved getting her face painted like a rainbow cat.
Snacks, gifts, and face painting are an additional cost to your admission. Expect to spend a couple of hours at the Princess Festival with many different structured activities as well as free time for crafts.
