This year has been full of many ups and downs packed full of uncertainty. The spring found us wanting to try to bake everything we had pinned over the last 10 years. Newly settled into the idea that it’s summer, there’s a glooming unknown for normalcy and I’m just a little tired of trying to recreate all those fabulous summer desserts saved on my hundreds of Pinterest boards, I’m turning to Dutch Apron® Bakery Cake Rolls to bring some smiles to our table. Some of their age-appropriate concerns feel silly but we’ve always stayed true to the notion of if it matters to you, it is important. Dinnertime at the table together is where we get the most out of these conversations and really get the opportunity to dive into both of our daughters’ worries.

In our home, we all have different preferences when it comes to dessert. Chocolate is my favorite but my husband will happily choose a slice of cheesecake over my choice. Our daughters like both and our oldest has recently decided she likes fresh citrus in desserts. Dutch Apron Bakery has something for everyone in our family.

I’ll always turn to the classic Pumpkin Cake Roll because it reminds me of my mom baking for the holidays but outside of the holiday season, the Chocolate Crème Cake Roll is my go-to. It is perfectly balanced with a sweet whipped créme filling.

The Lemon Crème Cake Roll is lighter and feels like an iconic summer dessert.

Your summer cheesecake dessert is the Strawberry Cheesecake Cake Roll. It’s filled with a sweet strawberry and cream cheese icing and reminds me of picking strawberries in Carlsbad during our family summer vacations.
