Let’s talk BEN 10. Either you know, or you don’t and until last week, I didn’t. My nephew is turning nine in just a couple of weeks and he asked if I could help plan his birthday party. Being the self proclaimed “most favorite and coolest aunt”, I absolutely agreed. Then he told me he wanted a BEN 10 party and I spent the next few days learning about the longest Cartoon Network original series to date. Beginning in 2005, BEN has been an animated series following Ben as he saves the world from alien invasions. I’m not here to turn you into a BEN 10 fan, we’ll assume you’re visiting this post because you’re looking to throw the ultimate BEN 10 party with inexpensive party ideas. I quickly went from that aunt that knew nothing about BEN 10 to that aunt that threw the ultimate BEN 10 party. These Ben 10 Invitations from Amazon (affliliate link), made it easy for my nephew to invite friends to his birthday party with the expectation of some awesome alien fun.
The party table backdrop was made with my favorite inexpensive party display – two plastic tablecloths taped together across the top then cut into strips. For the BEN 10 party we used a Lime Green Plastic Tablecloth and a Green Plastic Tablecloth.
As a thank you for attending, each guest received alien slime popcorn and their own vile of alien slime. Individual alien slime popcorn bags were made with plastic baggies topped with BEN 10 alien slime popcorn bag toppers printable. Simply print from your home computer on cardstock, cut, fold, then staple along the top of the bag.
The Alien Test Tubes of Slime were decorated with my BEN 10 Alien Slime Label Printable printed on Avery Easy Peel Return Address Labels (affiliate link).
Alien Slime Popcorn recipe
Ingredients:
- popped popcorn
- green melting chocolate (like this affiliate link)
Pop popcorn in popper. This is much less expensive than purchasing microwaveable popcorn if you have a popper at home. Melt green melting chocolate and pour over popcorn. Mix and refrigerate until chocolate is solid.
Serve in Mini Lime Green Popcorn Boxes decorated with BEN 10 cupcake toppers printable printed on Avery Permanent Print-To-The-Edge Brown Kraft Round Labels (affiliate link).

Party food was simple. Cupcakes, Alien Slime Popcorn, Heatblast Hot Dogs, Max Macaroni and Ben Burgers were all the food we would have had at a backyard barbecue with fun BEN 10 party themed names. I printed these fun food cards to add to the party table:

This is the coolest party ever! I love all the little details, I’m sure the kids did too. We did a fun spy party a few years ago that was a total hit with that age. The Ben Burgers are a cute idea too. Very creative!
