Every morning I pack my daughter’s lunch, I take a couple of minutes to add a silly note. Working at the same preschool she attends allows me to observe her excitement in discovering the notes each day. She is more excited to see the note than her food!
Sometimes the notes are specific to something we did recently. I drew an ostrich on her note the Monday after we attended the Chandler Ostrich Festival.
The Mickey Mouse balloon note was just after we visited Disneyland.
Sometimes the notes are specific to lunch. My daughter and her preschool friends thought it was really funny to see a cat thinking about pizza.
Other times the notes have no specific theme.
The one thing they have in common is they remind my daughter I love her.
Do you put love notes in your child’s lunchbox too?
Cute! I do sometimes, but not every day. Maybe if my son is feeling a bit blue. I’m sure this is a memory she’ll always cherish.
