We visit Disneyland very often but until this year, never planned a road trip during the California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. What a treat! Over spring break we took a family road trip to our favorite Southern California beach town and spent a day in Anaheim exploring everything we love about Disney. After spending hours spinning in teacups we made our way over to California Adventure to explore the food and wine festival.
The California Adventure Food & Wine Festival starts in March and goes through April 16. The culinary festival includes many activities, dining opportunities, local entertainment and creative California inspired food from a variety different vendors. The kiosks are lined up as you enter the festival and you can purchase anything from artichoke prepared three ways to garlic ice cream.
Many local vendors have treats to sample as well as culinary demonstrations and education seminars.
Easily spend the day navigating your way through the delicious food and celebrity chef demonstrations. The deviled eggs with trout and cream cheese and a mango agua fresca from “Seafood..Sustained” were my favorite of the day but everyone in my family each found something different they loved.
The street performances were fun and baby sister couldn’t get enough of watching Chip & Dale make music in the kitchen.
Festival merchandise is available to remind you of the great family memories made.
While there are many activities for adults there’s also a long list of attractions for children. Jr Chef is for children age 3 – 11 to participate in hands on cooking experiences. Younger guests can do kitchen crafts like making their own chef hat.
The festival beer garden is where you’ll find local craft brews and more food pairings.
Check out the entire California Adventure Food & Wine Festival schedule before your visit to plan the ultimate foodie day at your favorite park! What will you enjoy most?
Looks like a really amazing event for everyone! I’d be curious to taste that garlic ice-cream! And how fabulous that kids can try out new skills and have a chefs hat in the process!
It really was a fun day for our family! We visit often but this was a great different way to experience the park!
Oh I love festivals like this! Sounds like a wonderful one to go too. I love your picture of the deviled eggs and trout!
Thank you, those deviled eggs were incredible!
I really want to try this one day! I have done Epcot in Orlando for their food and wine festival, and it was so much fun!
We haven’t been to the Epcot festival but I’d love to visit soon!
I need to go there and try the deviled eggs and of course, garlic ice cream! It looks like you had a great time, wish we have this kind of adventure in our place.
The deviled eggs were awesome. I didn’t try the garlic ice cream but there many people in line excited to order.
Yum I love food festival. I should see if there is some over here in the UK.
Plan a trip to Disney! 🙂
I’m going Mother’s Day weekend and I’m so sad that this will be over by the time I arrive. I love that California has their own version of it too.
You’ll have a great Mother’s Day weekend! Plan a visit for the food festival next year!
We aren’t anywhere near Disney Land, but we do live 6 hours from Disney World. I’ve always wanted to go their Food and Wine Festival! Looks like a great time.
Sound like a great road trip for you to Disney World! We are six hours from Disneyland and go often.
This sounds like fun. I would love to go and experience all the different types of food!
There are so many creative dishes and excellent wine pairings!
My dream kind of event, food and wine festival. It must have been an amazing trip for you and your family having a chance to taste those delicious food whilst enjoy other fun activities. I wish we had this kind of event here.
It certainly was awesome and we are definitely going next year!
I’ve been to Disney plenty of times but I don’t think I’ve had the chance to attend any of their food and wine festivals. I think it’s awesome and it would be nice to experience this personally.
We had that same experience – there often but never for this festival. Definitely get it on the calendar for next year!
This looks amazing and right up my street! I love food festival – we have quite a lot of them here in the UK, especially as the days are getting warmer now! x
I love the spring weather and all the great festivals it brings!
So awesome this runs for so long. This event is totally up my alley! I would love one of those mango agua frescas right now. Maybe some day we can make it out for this – looks fabulous.
I love mango but no one else in my home does so we don’t have it often. YUM!
I love festivals. I haven’t been to one in such a long time and never one in California! It looks like it would be a lot of fun to do though, Totally something I’d enjoy!
The California weather is always amazing so this one is extra appealing!
I wish I lived closer to Disneyland as it would be so much fun to spend the day riding the rides and enjoying some fabulous cuisine.
We are there very often and would go daily if we lived closer!
I’ve always wanted to check out Disney’s Food and Wine Festivals. I live in FL so I’m not too far from DisneyWorld and I’ve heard such great things about the Epcot Food and Wine festival. I can only imagine the one at California Adventure is just as good.
I’ve heard great things about the festival at Epcot too! Definitely would be a fun one to experience.
This sounds like s great festival! Whilst it obviously caters for the adults, it’s great it caters for children too! I didn’t realise Disney did things like this.
I love that it is a very kid friendly event too!
We went to the food and wine festival in Orlando this fall and loved it! It is certainly something to experience!
We’ve never been to the festival in Orlando but I’d love to visit during that time!
I love a good food and wine festival but this one looked like the bomb! Oddly enough I’d be all over the garlic ice cream, I can never have enough gahlic!
There was a long line for the garlic ice cream – you’re not alone in your love for the flavor!
This looks like so much fun! I’ve been dying to go to a wine festival like this! my husband and I have been talking about it forever!
We always seem to accidentally miss this festival too – definitely get it on your calendar for next year!
This sounds like an amazing event to attend. The fact that it highlights food and wine is such a big plus.
We love Disneyland and California so much already – the food was a big bonus!
