California Family Travel – Paradise Point San Diego

The five hour drive to San Diego from Arizona is never an inconvenience because my family enjoys spending time in Southern California and my daughter loves every opportunity to be at the beach. During a recent visit to SeaWorld, we stayed at the Paradise Point Resort in San Diego. The beautiful property is a lush tropical getaway completely taking you away from the sounds of the city. From the moment you drive onto the property you are surrounded by palm trees and lush greens. The resort is Read More... {Read More...}

#BeachesMoms #BeachesGoSeek Social Media on the Sand Instagram Photo Challenge, Turks and Caicos

You might have noticed just a couple of weeks ago I was in Turks and Caicos. This was definitely not your standard vacation. I attended the Social Media on the Sand conference at the beautiful Beaches Turks and Caicos resort. I brought along my mom, her cousin, and great aunt to the all inclusive resort for an unforgettable vacation. We were treated to incredible service, accommodations, divine cuisine, drinks, and the most gorgeous beach view I've ever experienced. The experience, by far, Read More... {Read More...}

Don’t forget your stroller at Disneyland…you might get peed on!

I am an overachieving mom. I wanted my daughter out of diapers before she was two, reading by four, and definitely not sitting  in a stroller at five. Sometimes it  takes a funny mishap, like your daughter peeing on her daddy's head at Disneyland, to take a step back and realize maybe it is okay to push a five year old around in a stroller! Since that happened we have a stroller at Disneyland and I don't feel badly when I get odd looks for pushing  my only child in a stroller when Read More... {Read More...}

Sharks – SeaWorld San Diego shark encounter

One of our favorite attractions to visit at SeaWorld San Diego is the shark encounter. During a recent visit to the park we spent time with assistant curator of fishes, Mike Price, and learned more about the shark encounter exhibit. Already loving seeing the beautiful sharks, we enjoyed learning about how the fish are cared for at the park. The 280,000 gallon exhibit is home to a variety of sharks including sand tiger, bonnethead, blacktip and whitetip reef sharks. The SeaWorld San Diego shark Read More... {Read More...}

Alaska travel – Waterfall Resort and Steamboat Bay Fishing Club

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting. I received product to facilitate a review and thank me for participating. All opinions are my own. Growing up in Arizona I spent most school breaks and family vacations outdoors camping and fishing. My brothers and I loved playing in the river mud and fishing at the lake. Fishing, swimming and boating all played a big part in my childhood. I remember hearing my dad frequently talk about planning a family Read More... {Read More...}

Summer Whale Watching in Dana Point, CA with Dana Wharf

Since attending the Dana Point Festival of Whales 2014 we have been looking forward to returning to Dana Point in the summer to see blue whales. The potential to see the biggest creature on earth in its natural environment was a great learning opportunity for my daughter. While it's never guaranteed you'll see anything specific on a whale watching tour, when you go on a tour with Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching if you don't get a good showing of whales or Read More... {Read More...}

10 reasons you should own a mobile hotspot for Wi-Fi on the go

I can give you over 20 reasons why I thought I didn't need a mobile hotspot. With internet access from my phone and Wi-Fi connections in almost every coffee shop, restaurant, and hotel, I wasn't exactly sure why I would need to pay for my own mobile hotspot. Then I received a complimentary AT&T Unite for GoPhone by NETGEAR and my list of reasons why I didn't need a mobile hotspot quickly turned to a long list of reasons you should own a mobile hotspot for Wi-Fi on the go. 10 Read More... {Read More...}
