PlateJoy Meal Planning for Weight Loss
Last year when I started using the PlateJoy meal planning service it was because I was looking for a way to help simplify the process of providing home cooked meals to my family. My experience with PlateJoy has been wonderful and I’m elated by the new product with the option of meal planning to help you reach weight loss and health goals. We’ve been stepping up our efforts to set a good health example for our children and help our financial budget by eating more meals at home. We’ve been cooking together more often and because of PlateJoy meal planning for weight loss, my husband and I are getting a little extra help focusing on making better choices.
Identifying your goals is the first step and because they are different for everyone, PlateJoy is a great option for everyone at all stages of their nutritional journey. There are so many fad diets out there but consistency with good nutrition takes you so much further for lasting results. My 10 reasons to try PlateJoy is a great beginning to why we love the meal planning service. Using it to help us accountable is another great reason we appreciate the time saving product in our home.
How to use PlateJoy meal planning for weight loss
- Enroll with PlateJoy.
- Watch the introduction to your program video.
- Create a menu catering to your food and diet preferences.
- Track your activity or simply connect PlateJoy to your fitness tracker.
- Weigh yourself everyday at the same time and record to see your progress.
I do much better sticking to a new routine with reminders and accountability check ins. You can set the frequency of your reminders or mute them altogether.
A variety of nutrition trackers can be connected through the PlateJoy app so your fitness progress automatically syncs with your nutritional plan.
Your virtual coach will personalize your plan and keep you accountable toward your goals. Recipes can be provided with a new weekly meal plan include breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and desserts or by searching for recipes by ingredients. I was looking for a quick lunch with items I already had at home and used the search bar to find a recipe I could easily make without a shopping list.
I also referenced my weekly meal plan for quick lunch options.
The Bento with chicken, avocado, mozzarella, tomatoes and balsamic dressing was not a recipe but rather a great meal idea perfectly aligned with my nutrition goals.
When setting up your profile you can check off the ingredients you do not want included in your weekly meal plan. You can also add your own serving preferences like I did in the Bento lunch. Instead of serving the balsamic dressing on the side, I simply poured it over my plate.
Your menu can cater to any diet needs including low carb, low sodium, keto, paleo, weight loss, food allergies, vegetarian, vegan and more. Although my bento meal was made with ingredients I already had at home, one of my favorite features of PlateJoy is the shopping list. After creating your menu you are provided a printable shopping list and if you would rather, can opt to have the items on your shopping list delivered to your home alternatively.
PlateJoy makes it easy to follow your progress and be held accountable to stay on track with your goals. It also eliminates food waste with intentional meal planning for weight loss.

PlateJoy sounds great! It can be hard to go it alone when you’re trying to eat healthy and get all your nutrients in. This looks like it would make it so much easier.

Now this is something I should sign up for. Are they good with pescetarian diets?
This seems like a wonderful service. I would love to see if it also saved me money on my food budget. I’d love to get under spending $400 a month on groceries for a family of four.
I am trying to get my mom to do one of these meal plans. She needs to lose weight and eat healthy, plus she hates meal planning.
The food looks great and the accountability and reminders would help me too!
This is the kind of service that would be beneficial to someone like me. I’m not very organized and often forget to do things, then end up throwing something together and .. it’s not always healthy. The reminders would be incredible
