For months little sister was anticipating the grand opening of Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs. We have lifetime family passes to Butterfly Wonderland and annual passes to the Odysea Aquarium located near the new Arizona dinosaur park so we kept a close eye on construction all year. The Odysea in the Desert Entertainment area is full of many great unique attractions and the dinosaurs certainly add to the reasons why we frequently spend our weekends there.
The Arizona dinosaur park is a first of its kind with more than 50 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs that roam through exhibits and true-to-life recreations of prehistoric habitats. The educational experience teaches about dinosaurs with many different hands on activities and entertaining presentations. The permanent attraction opened last month but we just recently visited. Little sister wore her favorite Princess Awesome dinosaur dress for the special occasion. Our visit began meeting our guide that shared facts and walked us through the entire attraction.
We spent time learning about every dinosaur and because of the very real movements and sounds, we felt transported back to the time of the dinosaurs where we spent the afternoon interacting with these awesome creatures.
After we walked through the attraction, we participated in all the hands on activities including riding a dinosaur!
While little sister was having her face painted a roaming dinosaur walked by with his guide. We left the face painting station to watch the dinosaur dance with Pangaea friends and then pose for photos.
This friendly dinosaur smiled for his photo with little sister!
She was extra surprised when the dinosaur guide asked her to hold the dinosaur’s chain leash!
Other activities included etching, excavation and a fossil dig.
We made our way through the attraction to see all the dinosaurs a second time before we went to the souvenir booth for a photo.
We are looking forward to many more visits and because dinosaurs are little sister’s favorite, are looking into planning a special birthday party at Pangaea too!
