Moving into our new home was an adjustment for our entire family. The anticipation with all the unanswered questions caused uncertainty for our oldest daughter. She is just eight years old and put on a big brave face to move into a new neighborhood unsure if we would have neighbors her age. The first week we were here, we were walking home from the park at the end of our street and invited in to a neighbor’s home for a birthday party. The playdates have been almost daily ever since. The neighbors on our street are wonderful and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better welcome. So when Donna, the owner of Beyond Bridal Beauty, asked if we would like to host a girls spa day party, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to invite all the neighborhood girls over for some fun in our new home. With quick planning and a delivery from Oriental Trading, we planned an easy party full of glitter, nail polish, braids and everything you could imagine in the most fun girls spa day party!
My easy party tips for a girls spa day party include activities, snacks and decorations so you can quickly put together the most fun afternoon for a group of girls in your home.
Girls Spa Day | Easy Party Tips
manicures & pedicures
The girls attending our party were young and little sister joined the fun so I had stations for manicures and pedicures outside on our patio to avoid making a mess in our home.
Girls spa day party tip: Tape down plastic tablecloths to your patio surface to catch all nail polish and glitter spills.
I purchased nail polish from the Dollar Store in bright colors and glitters. They were placed on a small table outside so the girls could easily pick colors and paint each other’s nails.
My daughter previously had the Orbeez Soothing Spa and Orbeez Massaging Body Spa in our last home but we didn’t bring them along to the new house. She did still have a big supply of Water Beads so she asked if we could set up Orbeez pedicures for the party. I picked up small tubs from the Dollar Store and filled them with the water beads in preparation for the party. The party guests soaked their feet in the water beads then painted their toenails for the ultimate girls spa day pedicures. Please note, water beads are messy! The beads start as small crystals then once you soak them in water, balloon into marble size water beads. They do eventually dry out but if you have a yard with a watering system, they will forever rehydrate for a very colorful lawn (that might be our current situation). Because we will likely be refinishing the patio and yard at some point, we don’t mind the water beads but this is not an activity you should plan if you would rather not be left with a very challenging mess.
facials
Beyond Bridal Beauty provides spa services and healthy skincare routine educational information for girls. Three beauty professionals shared products and tips for a good skincare routine. At eight years old and extremely physically active, my oldest daughter definitely needed to hear from someone other than me that she needs to be washing her face outside of only during her showers. Moisturizer and sunscreen application, along with a fragrant strawberry mint face mask were also applied.
Girls spa day party tip: tell your aestheticians and beauty professionals about any guest allergies as some spa products do contains nuts and other allergens.
braid bar
All the party guests wanted their hair braided during the party! The onsite braid bar facilitated by Beyond Bridal Beauty was great for all hair types and lengths. Even girls with shorter hair walked away with fabulous braids.
photo booth
At this age my daughter and most of her friends have mobile phones. I set up a quick photo booth so the girls could take silly photos together with their phones. The Oriental Trading Company Black & White Backdrop came with three pieces to use for the photo backdrop and table cloths. The backdrop was easily decorated by adding Spa Party Hanging Swirls. A bucket full of little sister’s dress up accessories and Spa Party Photo Stick Props is all we needed for the perfect spa day party photo booth.
snacks
We hosted our girls spa day party before lunchtime so I served fresh fruit, cheese, sparkling ICE drinks and juice boxes. Stick to your theme and serve on Black & White Paper Striped Dessert Plates with Hot Pink Plastic Forks and Spa Beverage Napkins.
The night before the party my daughter baked eye mask shaped sugar cookies. She drew her own template and used it to cut out the sugar cookie dough for the cute cookies to decorate at the party. Each party guest decorated their own cookie with white, blue and pink frosting.
decorations
We kept decorations minimal and used the photo booth backdrop pieces as tablecloths. The main table where the facials and beauty education happened was decorated with Spa Party Confetti and the photo booth hanging decorations above the table. Each seat had a Dollar Store handheld mirror and each guest also received a stretchy headband to use while they applied face masks.
take home bags
Each guest left with a Mini Hot Pink Treat Bag filled with a colorful bath loofah, their elastic headband, handheld mirror and favorite nail polish used for their manicures and pedicures.
I planned the easy girls spa day party in less than a week and was so happy seeing my daughters enjoy the day with their friends. I was very impressed by the information about skin care shared by Beyond Beauty Bridal. It was very age appropriate for our group and can be altered depending on your party needs.

Those girls were so cute especially getting their facials. You made an amazing spa for them including that photo booth, You have a new career if you want one running a spa.
What a fun girl’s birthday party idea!!! I love the orbeez for the pedicures! My daughter would love this idea!
I was totally intrigued with the water beads. That is something new to me and I think I would really love the feel of them on my feet.
This looks like a lot of fun for a young girl to have her friends over for a spa day. Me personally, I’d definitely have a couple of more adults to help with them and cleanup!
We had nail polish themed art projects for my daughter’s birthday party. The girls got to do their nails and use the polish to paint things.
Oh what a fun party idea for girls, of all ages. I love the decorations, and the foot treatments with Orbeez! Those nail polish choices are awesome!
I really love this idea for young girls. It’s time for me to conquer a girl’s party for my daughter and I don’t know where to start. I’ve pinned this for later. Thanks!
What a fun at home spa party. This is such a great way to indulge in some TLC and teach your girls about taking care of their skin.
This sounds and looks like so much fun! My daughter would absolutely love doing something like this…great birthday idea for her!!
This looks like so much fun! I bet my daughter would love something like this, even if she is only 4 lol she already loves to pamper herself and to have her nails done
What a fun spa party? Everyone looks like they have a great time at the home spa. I really like the cute braids you make for the girls. So pretty!
How fun, this totally brought childhood memories to my mind. When I was younger my mom threw a party like this for me and it was so much fun. You get to pretend you’re older hahah. I’m sure they all had a blast.
Oh this looks like so much fun! My girls and I used to do a weekly spa night just so I could fit in my manicure. lol My girls have been asking to do a water bead foot bath!
Oh my goodness, how fun!! This looks like such a great way to get a little pampering in at a fraction of the cost that it would take to go to an actual spa. Love!
Cool that they have age appropriate parties for little girls, as well as ones for adults! I remember having fun with nail polish at that age.
Those water beads look fun – but I bet they do get into things! Sounds like you’ll have a colorful yard… And I love the picture of the little one with the nail polish – and glitter…
Wow, this looks like the perfect party! It is so well planned, and everything was so pretty. The photo booth looked like so much fun!
This will make any party look so fun!! I love it! The photobooth is a great touch I agree!
This was so cute. All the pics were just adorable. What a splendid idea for a girls party. I wouldnt mind this with my girl gang either. 😉
What a fun party!! I love this idea. I think it would be such a great opportunity to teach their beauty tips and hygiene and also teach them about their self-worth and to be confident in themselves and know how to take care of themselves!
