We recently visited SeaWorld® San Diego and spent time interacting with the sea lions and seals. The Pacific Point exhibit is where you get the opportunity to watch these playful sea creatures swim, play, and sunbathe. My daughter’s most favorite part of a visit to Sea World is feeding the sea lions. A few years ago we visited SeaWorld and she threw her first fish to a barking sea lion. She loved the experience and makes sure it’s the first thing we do each time we visit the park.
We are always one of the first visitors to arrive at the sea lion exhibit. With out the large crowd of excited visitors, my daughter gets plenty of individual attention from the sea lions.
The exhibit is easy to find and located directly behind the big Sea Lion and Otter Stadium.
My daughter makes sure she says hello to each of the sea lions. During our last visit she was convinced the sea lions in the water were waving to her.
Then we go to the counter for an order of fresh fish. The sea lion fish trays are very reasonably priced but we always end up purchasing more than one each time we visit the exhibit.
The next hour is spent throwing fish to the sea lions. My daughter is very careful to try and share the fish with all of the sea lions.
If you’re looking for more sea lion fun, visit the Sea Lions LIVE show. The show stars two of SeaWorld’s funniest sea lions, Clyde and Seamore. Watching two sea lions spoof TV and music shows is hilarious. With several show times through out each day, you don’t want to miss this great show! Arrive early to get the best seats and see the pre-show.
With so many exhibits, attractions, and shows you might want to plan the schedule of your day before your visit. Be sure to allow plenty of time to spend feeding the sea lions.
In anticipation of our visit to the park, we made a sea lion kids craft. My daughter brought the craft into the park with her and made sure she showed the sea lions.
Do you do anything special to get ready for a fun visit with the sea lions?
Disclosure: Our family received complimentary tickets to visit SeaWorld. We have been to the park many times before this particular visit and have a great love for the sea lion exhibit. All opinions are my own.
How cute! When my daughter was in Girl Scouts we went to Sea World and this brought back memories of her feeding the sea lions. Loved it then, want to go back now!!
