We are attending Marvel Universe LIVE! in Phoenix tomorrow with complimentary tickets and my daughters are very excited to see their favorite superheroes and characters. Little sister can’t wait to meet Spider-Man so we made Easy Spider-Man Shirts to wear to the show. We use fabric stamps and paint to make shirts often at our house but because we are in the process of moving, we have our favorite spider stamp already packed away. We used Halloween felt stamps and wooden thread spools to make your own fabric stamps for our festive shirts.
Who is excited to meet Spider-Man in their new Easy Spider-Man Shirt? This girl!
Easy Spider-Man Shirt tutorial
Supplies:
- foam or felt spider shapes (we used Halloween felt stickers)
- small wooden thread spools
- glue gun
- black and royal blue fabric paint
- red shirt
We found perfect Halloween felt stickers to use as a stamp with fabric paint but then I realized the mess both my girls would be making trying to stamp the flat stickers on their shirts. We added handles and made our own fabric stamps by gluing the wooden thread spools to the back of the spider shape.
Dip the stamps in fabric paint and stamp onto your shirt. Use a paintbrush to touch up areas that didn’t get fully covered with paint on the stamp.
Continue stamping until you have the desired amount of spiders on your shirt. With a big age gap between my two daughters, their crafts always look very different. My oldest daughter carefully stamped along the side of her Easy Spider-Man Shirt. But little sister wildly stamped spiders everywhere.
The shirt can be worn to meet your favorite superheroes at Marvel Universe LIVE!, to celebrate Halloween, or just to show your love for Spider-Man.
It might even give you extra wall climbing powers. Little sister sure thinks so.
I’m looking forward to seeing my girls excited at the event this week!
Do you have a Spider-Man fan that would have fun making an Easy Spider-Man Shirt too?

Using foam stickers and shapes as stamps with fabric paint… this actually sounds like such a great idea for a DIY-themed children’s birthday party! And the results look fantastic!
Omg they are both adorable and what a fun diy!! My son used to be so into Spiderman when he was younger.
Our kids love to make costumes and arts and crafts. This would definitely be right up their alley!
