Last night I attended a fun event with some blogging friends at the new DownEast Basics Home & Clothing store in Gilbert, Arizona. I’m already a big fan of DownEast Basics clothing and was super excited to hear there would also be a home store just a few minutes from my home. The new store offers name brand home decor and furnishings at 40 – 90% off national prices. In addition to their already awesome clothing line, the new store carries other name brand apparel too.
This wasn’t my first time there but I was just as excited about the products this visit as I was on the evening of the grand opening. I had a lot of fun imagining all the pretty furniture in my own home.
As a special thank you for attending the event, I received a cute bag full of some of the funnest items in the store. Arizona has had an odd couple of weeks with cold weather this month; I will be wearing my new scarf to work! How cute are those stickers and glittered notebook? Adorable. I absolutely love my new silver bracelet! It will be the perfect accessory to my everyday teacher work outfits.
I found some great pieces of furniture that belong in my office.
My daughter attended the event with me and had the best time posing with mannequins for photos.
She begged me to bring home a shark pool. I didn’t but have now decided I will be returning there today to make the purchase. I’m planning to buy two: one for my daughter and one for my pre-k classroom. It’s going to make a perfect reading area with comfy pillows at school.
Although she would have preferred the shark pool, I did let my daughter pick out a couple of cute clothing items. We bought a pretty green tunic and a pink sparkly belt. She is going to wear the top over a long sleeve white tee to school today. I bet she’ll want to wear the belt right over the shirt too.
If you live in Arizona, be sure to check out the new store. Trust me, it’s amazing!
The DownEast Home blog is full of awesome decorating and project ideas. You can also connect with DownEast Home on Facebook and Twitter.
