Getting ready for back to school always feels intimidating. Your child’s new teachers’ homework styles and expectations will make a big difference in how the year will go. With so many unknowns walking into the week, it feels like a parenting blur while we all get used to the new schedule. We’re getting ready with the help from a few pantry staples at Walmart. Having a well stocked pantry means I have options for fast meals and backup plans when our schedule goes awry. Campbell’s® Condensed Chicken Noodle Soup, Swanson® Premium Chicken and V8 Splash® are making a big difference for us this week and our Chicken Noodle Soup Wraps recipe is one that will be making an appearance on our dinner table again soon! Hover over the image below to see exactly what I purchased from Walmart.
It feels like just last week I was sharing a photo of my daughter’s first and last days of second grade. And now in just a couple of days she’s starting third grade. Our summer flew by and I’m not sure I’m ready for the back to school routine.
While I’m quickly scrambling to get us back to that steady pace of early mornings, busy afternoons, evenings of homework and structured bedtimes, I’ve already put together a plan to make sure this week feels a little easier with meals. With just a few pantry staples, I feel quite a bit more organized and know I can prepare fast meals my family will be happy to sit down together to enjoy. Campbell’s® Condensed Chicken Noodle Soup, Swanson® Premium Chicken and V8 Splash® are helping my mom duties feel a little easier during our tough back to school transition week. Swanson® Premium Chicken is already cooked and ready to use for quick and everyday meals. Plus it’s heart healthy so that’s always a bonus! Campbell’s® Condensed Chicken Noodle Soup is the best backup plan for those evenings when dinner plans just don’t happen like you thought they would and lately we’ve been using the soup for new recipes too. V8 Splash® is packed with a good source of essential antioxidant vitamins A & C.
I haven’t been shy about my oldest daughter’s aversion to try new foods. She likes basic flavors and regularly requests her favorite meals like chicken noodle soup. Our youngest daughter is absolutely opposite and will try anything presented to her on a plate. This week both daughters were happy about chicken noodle soup wraps and I was happy about an easy meal featuring a traditional family favorite. Served with V8 Splash® Strawberry Lemonade, we had a full delicious meal to give my daughter just what she needed before a full night’s rest for a big day of third grade!
Chicken Noodle Soup Wraps Recipe
Ingredients:
- Campbell’s® Condensed Chicken Noodle Soup
- Swanson® Premium Chicken
- Tortillas
- Romaine Lettuce
Prepare chicken noodle soup as instructed on can by mixing with one can of water. Strain out liquid then mix soup with one can of chicken in a small bowl.
Place one piece of lettuce on tortilla then fill wrap with soup mix.
Wrap and serve with V8 Splash®.
Your children will have no idea they are eating a meal alongside a drink made with real fruits and vegetables. “Deliciously fruity, wonderfully refreshing.”
Grocery shopping is always easier for me when I can do it while picking up other shopping items at Walmart. It’s even better when I can get my daughters on task to help. Little sister was excited to pick out her favorite soup while big sister looked forward to bringing home some new V8 Splash® flavors. We purchased all ingredients for our Chicken Noodle Soup Wraps while picking up last minute school supplies. We quickly went from an empty cart to everything we needed for an easy back to school week!
How do you survive the first week of the back to school routine after summer?
