Last weekend I attended the Blended Conference, a one day learning opportunity in Arizona. I knew I was going to have fun and learn so much because of my experience earlier in the year when I attended the first Blended Conference. The very first event was a small private dinner with speakers focusing on food photography. This time Blended included a wide range of topics and different types of bloggers. The conference was held at the Phoenix Tempe Doubletree by Hilton hotel. The weather was beautiful and the conference center was a great place to get comfortable and learn from blogging experts at the Blended Conference.
The speaker lineup was great and included Maureen from Wisconsin Mommy, Kimberly from A Night Owl Blog, Christine from Cook The Story, Ari from Ari’s Menu, and Nicole from The Marvelous Misadventures of a Foodie. We also heard from the event organizers Wendy from Around My Family Table and Wendy from Choosing Love. The topics covered ranged from Pinterest and Instagram tips to video blogging.
In between hearing from the experienced speakers, we took silly pictures with photo props and chatted with friends.

There were so many giveaways throughout the day and I was beyond excited to win a box of produce from Bountiful Baskets.
The box was full of yummy fruit and vegetables. Bountiful Baskets is a co-op that offers boxes of local produce and bread bi-weekly. With many different pick up locations in several states, Bountiful Baskets is definitely something you should explore if you aren’t already participating. My family will be enjoying all the produce that came in the box I won!
After the conference, a big group of attendees went to dinner nearby at Joe’s Crab Shack. Ending my fun day with a lobster dinner was perfect! We were surprised by our final treat from the conference; dessert was delivered from Cakes by Cupcake.
The next day I went through the two swag bags I received from the conference. Each bag was full of grocery items and coupons. The Private Selection cookies and a couple of candy bars didn’t make it to my picture. The children in my preschool classroom enjoyed the cookies at their end of September party.
One of my favorite pieces of swag from the event was a 1:Face Watch. With each watch sold, a percentage of the purchase price goes to charity. Each watch comes with a different metric for the charity donation. I received a yellow watch that contributes to providing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. For every four watches sold, one person gets an entire year’s worth of safe drinking water.
The one day conference was a great experience and I know I will go again next year!

Will you be attending next time too?
Disclosure: I am a Blended Conference Ambassador and was provided a discounted ticket for my promotion. All opinions are my own and I would have attended regardless of receiving a discounted ticket!
Thank you to all of the sponsors that made the Fall 2013 Blended Conference so amazing!
Sounds like it was wonderful! I am so sorry I had to miss it this time.
So glad you were able to come Heather!
It was such a great conference!
