Valentine’s Day was such a fun holiday for us this year. My four year old daughter had so much fun handing out and receiving valentines at school. She completely understood that the purpose of the holiday is to celebrate the love you feel for friends and family. She has a real sweet tooth and loved that she brought home so much chocolate. Today I found the perfect use for all the leftover chocolate; we made yummy s’mores!
The funnest part of preparing the treat was guessing the flavors before we turned the chocolates into s’mores.
You only need three ingredients to make the s’mores.
Ingredients:
- graham crackers
- marshmallows
- leftover Valentine’s Day chocolates
We are in Arizona and it’s not cold enough outside for a real fire to make traditional s’mores. Instead we opted to use the microwave.
Using a microwave safe plate, stack a chocolate and marshmallow on top of a graham cracker.
Microwave for approximately 15 seconds to melt the chocolate and marshmallow.
Top with a graham cracker and your dessert is complete. You might be surprised by the flavors you discover. This orange s’more was my favorite!
The s’mores were a yummy treat my daughter and I made together. What a great family activity!
