This morning my family attended the Summer Splash Tour in Gilbert, Arizona. We learned about water safety and played in the water for several hours. The Summer Splash tour has several more stops around the Phoenix area this month. The free family event offers a great learning opportunity while cooling off with many different water activities and games.
The free day of play included various water rides, family fun activities, conservation, and fun! My daughter really enjoyed the different water slides.
She also had fun playing games with the friendly staff. Throwing water soaked balls at targets was her favorite.
My daughter cooled off in the pool during her complimentary swim lesson while my husband and I observed.
The Gilbert Fire Department shared great water safety material and handed out stuffed bears to all the children.
I will definitely be using my water watcher lanyard at the pool this summer.
We also had fun posing with a cool cow at the Radio Disney booth.
We cooled off with an italian ice before heading home.
Our last stop before the exit was spending a few minutes with greyhounds from a local adoption agency. My daughter wanted a picture next to the dog in the pool. Everyone enjoyed the water on this hot day!
