My daughters are six years apart and it takes an effort to find activities they will both love equally. With summer break already in full swing, we have blankets all over the playroom floor slowly extending to the entire house. Those blankets are also strung across furniture with displaced chairs and other props representing many abandoned complex forts. Raise your hand if you’re with me. The fort building madness is tearing apart our home but luckily we just received a big box from Antsy Pants. Both our daughters, age two and eight, love building forts together so the complimentary kids playhouse kits arrived at just the right time. Antsy Pants kids playhouse kits are exclusively available at Target and provide endless opportunities for creating, imagining and building together.
Two magical things happened when we opened the Antsy Pants Small Build & Play Kids Playhouse Kit. We finally had the mess contained to the playroom and my daughters actually spent hours playing creatively together. They were so proud of what they had built and I couldn’t get enough of their sweet giggles.
There are several different size kits with instructions to build specific kids playhouses but because each kit comes with poles and connectors, creativity is limitless. We also received the Small Creative Cover Kit, a washable canvas cover to turn your child’s creations into reality. The cover fit perfectly over the teepee my daughters made together in their playroom.
The kids playhouse kits are great for children of all ages. My eight year old daughter easily followed the color coded instructions and directed her little sister to help build the teepee. While my daughter had no problem following the instructions, Antsy Pants has a large collection of instructional videos for a visual presentation of each build kit for those with different learning styles.
Coloring the cover was just as much fun as building.
Later that evening I washed the cover and placed it back over their creation in the playroom so they could wake up to more fun.
Each kit comes with poles and connectors. Add ons like the creative cover and other fabric covers can be purchased for additional creative play. The small kit add ons include a variety of fabric covers and 4-in-1 play liner. While these provide excellent building opportunities, next up for us will be a Pole Expansion Pack, Connectors Expansion Pack and Storage Unit.
How will you encourage creative play this summer?

I love these! I especially love the little shop stands. I definitely want to get one or two of these for my kid!
That is sweet that you girls enjoying spending time together since they aren’t so close in age. They both look like they’re having a great time. The tent is really cute and looks like it would be so fun to play in.
I love these games where kids have to build something. It really helps them to grow and build logical thinking.
These playhouse kits seem like a great idea for children of all ages! My girls will be 7.5 years apart when the baby is born in September, and I know it won’t be too often that they’ll find something they’ll both enjoy.
I simply love anything that requires building when it comes to buying stuff for play for the kids. My girls have tent play houses that I think enjoy demolishing than building haha
These look so fun. I like how it looks like a little tee-pee. What a fun and constructive way for kids to spend the day.
These are so adorable! What a great way for everyone to work together and be creative! I’m going to get some of these for the kids this summer.
What a neat little project for kiddos. I bet they had a blast coloring it. These would be great for a little camp out in the backyard.
Oh wow, this looks so much fun for kids of any age! Even I want to make my own playhouse lol. If I had kids, I would definitely get them this kit!
What a fun kit! I would have loved this as a kid. I miss those rainy days where I would set up a playhouse/tent in the living room. I love how with this kit, everyone works together and gets to be creative. How cool!
I love that this is washable and not a “one-and-done”! My son would absolutely love this!
This is so cool! I would have loved something like this during the time we’re all into making forts as a kid (heck I would still make forts now if someone offered…hahah). Love this!
Best,
Rebecca
Would you mind sharing the dimensions of the floor space/bottom of the teepee? I have a small space and am wondering if this will fit! Thanks!
