When Toyota asked if I would like to celebrate Mother’s Day with a new 2017 Prius Four for an entire week and visit to the Phoenix Zoo for the Dia del Nino celebration, it was an easy, “yes, please.” The 2017 Toyota Prius Was Named Best Hybrid Car for the Money by U.S. News & World Report and I was looking forward to trying it out for our family during a busy week. My eight year old daughter was very excited when the red car was delivered to our driveway and asked if she could ride in it to school everyday.
Although the car is much smaller than our regular ride, proud minivan mom here, it comes with a big punch and long list of awesome features.
- Advanced integrated safety
- Beautifully efficient exterior
- A comfortable high tech interior
- Performance like no other
- Technology to wow
- Utility and Convenience for all the fun!
With it’s EPA estimated 58 MPG city, the Prius family is estimated to have reduced almost 12 million tons of COâ‚‚ emissions from being released into the atmosphere. That’s reason enough to want to permanently drive the Prius but after spending a week with the hybrid vehicle, I have many other reasons for loving it too.
The new Prius body feels much different than my early expectations. It’s sleek and dramatic looking much more like a sedan than a hatchback.
Safety features include an integrated backup camera, blind spot monitor, rear crossing traffic alert and more. With so many reasons to need to know what is behind your vehicle, I definitely appreciate the camera that comes standard on all models.
Skeptical about how the Prius would comfortably fit my family, we were pleasantly surprised by the smart seat design. Our youngest daughter’s carseat and a booster seat fit well in the back while the front seat feels like an upscale experience with access to the fully customizable Multi-Information Display. Cargo space is generous and easily handled our weekly groceries.
The navigation was flawless and I appreciated how it helped our family with traffic expectations during our many adventures. While my oldest daughter was at rock climbing practice my sister-in-law and I took our youngest daughters to the Phoenix Zoo for the Dia del Nino celebration. We visit the zoo often but this day was special because it was full of activities celebrating culture in Arizona.
Our daughters are just six weeks apart and the cutest little two year old friends. They had so much fun exploring together during our day out.
Goats in the petting zoo were the girls’ favorite animals of the day. At two each zoo visit finds new exhibits and animals to love. So much can be learned about animals and conservation by young visits to local aquariums and zoos.
Our warm day at the Phoenix zoo ended with ice cream cones and two toddlers very ready for an afternoon nap.
Choosing to drive a hybrid vehicle is good for the environment, but choosing to drive the 2017 Toyota Prius Four is a decision your family will love too. Where would you love to go in a new Prius?

That sounds like a really nice car. I am a Toyota girl, too, but we have a Highlander. I absolutely love it 🙂
I have always been intrigued by these little cars. The amazing MPG is such a huge draw for me, but the size puts me off. I am a total Jeep girl and hubs is a Chevy guy. I think the only reason he is against a prius is b/c he works on cars and hates working on them lol.
What an amazing opportunity. I hear such good things about Toyota. I have been in my mini van for so long I wouldn’t even know what to do in a small car haha.
What a fun opportunity! I love the car’s design and red is the perfect color for it. I loved seeing the navigation for the car and glad to hear it works well!
I have heard amazing things about the Prius! I love how big the trunk is and that cherry red is gorgeous!
Sounds like a really great car. I’ve heard so many great things about the Prius and think it would be a lovely car to ride around in!
My mom loves Toyotas and they are great cars. I love that color! I think when my Honda needs a trade in I may go Toyota.
Such a beauty! I bet your family enjoyed this car. I may need to check it out!
I’m in the market for a new car but just can’t nail one down yet. I’ve heard so many positive reviews of the toyota prius and can’t wait to give it a test run at a dealership!
Wow that is one awesome looking car, love the colour. And a trip to the zoo, nice x
I have actually been looking at this car for awhile. I have a Toyota camry currently and looking to upgrade!

Plus, Toyota is such a good car make name.
I’ve driven a Prius before and really enjoyed it. I love how quiet they are and how fuel efficient. It’s great to see the added features.
The Toyota Prius is my dream car. Whenever my mom says “if you won the lottery, which car would you buy?” that’s the one! The Yaris was my dream before this one came out. I just love Toyota!
I’ve never been a fan of Toyota cars, but this one looks great! I’ve ridden in a Prius before and they’re so comfortable!
I’ve never tried driving a Toyota before. I’ve been hearing good things about it though and it would be awesome to see how it performs. I love that this one’s spacious and has great features.

I’m really impressed at how nice this car is for being a hybrid. It’s so important to do our part to take care of the earth.
